I'm just not sure which way is best to play her lately. Whether to go top/mid or AD/AP I just don't which is better now a days, any input would be appreciated. :)

A. Max the spear. B. Spam the spear.

GG.

Nidalee excels at 2 things.

  1. Stupidly high damage poke during teamfights
  2. Catching out enemy champions.

The good news is she has the sustain for top lane and the poke for mid lane. How well you do comes down to how well you can land your spears. When you're out of mana, swap to cougar form and CS while you regen.

I've only ever seen AP Nidalees, so I imagine that's the best way to go.

Don't forget to /dance every occasion you get so you can see her rub her pixelated boobies on her hard long spear. :3

Most of the time I saw NIdalees right after her rework, they were top lane and playing a bruiser build. It was extremely oppressive, borderline infuriatingly annoying, to play against. But I also haven't seen a Nidalee at all in about two or three months now, so I can only assume that fell out of favor in lieu of her actual role as an AP mid.

Nidalee is a very versatile champion, she can be played mid top or jungle. dependent on how you want to play her, her playstyles shift accordingly. AD- You work as a bruiser, working to rely mainly upon your cougar form after hitting a spear. AP- You work as artillery, working to poke down at their health before having your team engage.
