Feel free to leave constructive additions in the comments! I may add them to the guide!

  1. Buy wards. item 2043 item 2044

  2. Learn where to put wards.

  3. Remember your wards expire.

  4. Value pink wards, they not only give vision, they show their wards, and refund 25g if you kill their ward. 125-25g = 100g. only 25g more for 2x the benefit.

  5. Use team chat to call timers for buff respawns/dragon/baron. IE: DR - 22:45 IE: EB - 8:07

  6. Learn to play at least 2 champions for every role. And understand there is a champion tier structure. Some champs are currently better suited than others for competitive play. IE: zed out classes galio. by like 173 tiers. ABAM/ARAM styles are great for just learning other champions. And they better you know a champion, the better you should be prepared against them.

  7. Don't cuss at your team.

  8. Don't berate your team.

  9. Save your rage for post-game. That easy. And, it does not show up in Tribunal either.

  10. Play sober.

  11. Play well rested.

  12. Play a warm-up match before ranked. Do an aram or normal or tree line.

  13. Show up to team fights.

  14. Shove your lane before leaving it, if possible.

  15. Learn to last hit effectively.

  16. Use a build-guide.

  17. Look at what your team, AND your opponents are building. And adjust as needed. IE: If noone is stacking armor yet, maybe wait to build the last whisper.

  18. If someone is threatening to "go X role or troll", and is being a baby about it. Just dodge or let them have it. Either way, having a viable team, and/or not being trolled that much more is better.

  19. Participate in the tribunal. And see what causes team melt downs. Learn from others' mistakes.

  20. Warding isn't just for support. If an objective like dragon/baron is about to be contested, the TEAM should have 1-3 pink wards MINIMUM. and 3-5 additional wards. Notably; Junglers/mids should really be picking up more wards.

  21. And if you ONLY play locked screen, Practice not doing that. I've seen my friend IRL struggling with it. And because of it. If you need to; snap your camera on to your champion by hitting space bar, and holding it if necessary.

  22. Be aware of who on your team has their ult available; it's a green dot next to their icon in the upper left.

  23. You're still not warding enough.

  24. Surrender is a guaranteed loss. Almost any game is savable in elo hell, unless it's 40-0. Then yeah, I'd surrender.

  25. Understand afk's/dc's happen, try to adjust and play through it. Try to snowball through it. You should have an experience advantage. And more concentrated gold to buy faster. Dip in/out of jungle to farm in between waves. Steal their jungle too if possible.

  26. PING YOUR INTENTIONS. not everyone speaks english. learn, live, love the new smart ping. It makes sound+color. 2x the chance they'll notice vs talking. And it's much faster than typing out a sentence.

  27. If you lose a lot, at low ratings. Book Mark this. Reread it after every loss. And tally up how much of this you aren't following. Because if you're not warding, that's like 5 strikes against you right there.

  28. Have at least 10 mastery pages tailor suited to the champions/roles. And label them accordingly.

  29. Invest in runes and rune pages. I currently run 10 seperate rune pages. IE: movespeed/flat armor/magic resist per lvl. AP/magic pen/armor/magic res. flat armor/flat magic res flat armor / CDR flat ap/armor/ap per lvl flat AD/armor/magic res per lvl flat armor/flat magic res/gp10

If you never afk/d/c. Your team has 4 liabilities. Their team has 5. Don't do it; and the odds work in your favor.

Just some basics to progress. This should get any player out of bronze if they adhere to these basic concepts. Getting above that, will take skill/game knowledge. There are plenty of Silvers that need this lesson too.

I'd say I do at least 23 out of 29 of these things. I don't ward enough when I'm not supp, I sometimes berate my team when they don't follow a plan, I don't always notify of respawn times, I cuss at my team when I berate them (uncommon, but it happens), and don't do tribunal anymore.
