ELO Hell - Not what you think.

Okay guys, it's my first post on the new boards and in general, in a long time.

Okay, let me start by saying that I don't believe that I'm the best player on my team, most times. I respond to toxicity, well, toxicly (I need to mute people immediately, I know). I miss the occasional last hit, and sometimes I get greedy or lack a bit of map awareness.

I assumed there's a reason I'm in bronze, but I obviously don't know what it is. I'm hoping for a bit of guidance.

I don't mind playing any role, but I tend to avoid mid, if I can help it. (I don't like playing vs champions that don't have to manage a resource - Yasuo, Zed, Kennen, Katarina... You get the idea). I buy wards, even as a jungler. I give positive input on the team's actions "Good job, guys, that's how we do it!" or "Hey dude, can we please avoid feeding Darius? Please be defensive until you get a couple ganks." Seriously. That's how I type. Naturally, some people respond toxicly, which spirals into retardation.

I don't engage Fed enemies needlessly, and I don't chase often, especially if the enemy team is well organised or fed.

All of that said, why the Hell am I trapped here? I've played with people that simply refuse to pay attention, communicate, or use simple logic. I.e- Darius has been ahead all game and is rocking a sunfire cape and a black cleaver with high farm. Ally in lane sees him at 1/3 health at level 5-6 and assumes he, at half-2/3 health with a belt and dorans item can take him. Fight starts, ally takes a huge chunk right off the bat and darius heals his 12%. Ally tries to run, gets pulled, and you know the rest.

This happens most games. Lately, my matches have been either a team feeding, being toxic, or just plain bad.... Or my team steamrolls them into oblivion. I'm not good enough to carry a match that hard and I'm trying to figure out how to break this cycle.

If you have any questions that can aid you in aiding me, I'd happily answer.

It comes from not knowing how to press your advantage and transfer it to the rest of your team. Watch this guy he's D1 and makes vids on how to carry in lower elos. He currently has a 99% win rate in bronze.

Find a way to control the game, many different ways to do so. The guy in the video SoeBomb posted does it by getting his team ahead early. I got to gold by winning team fights with amumu, and on my smurf i did it by snowballing myself with rengar. Just find which tactic you like or are good at and get better at doing it and i'm sure eventually you will learn the game a lot quicker and know what it takes to climb.

Another thing many people dont do is think before doing something. Risk/Reward. Always think about that before you do something.

Yeah, I see your problem. You play too many champs. Just stick to Yas and Malphite. I know it's boring but you have to keep your composure and select only 1 or 2 champs that you're good at.

That was my problem. I went from Bronze 5 to Gold simply by realizing Vi was my best champ and I just spammed her. I used to think I was good enough to fill and play whatever because I was better than everyone.

Well it turns out you need to stomp, not just play safe and hope your team doesn't throw. Make the other team panic and complain about who fed Yasuo blah blah blah and make them tilt so you win.
