Laning against Azir

What are some things I can do or champions I can learn to lane against Azir, particularly pre-6. His soldiers+Q deal more damage than I expect them to, and it's difficult to avoid their range when they dash towards you.

The most success I've had against Azirs comes from baiting his Q. He misses it and his soldiers are disarrayed and he's kinda vulnerable.

Trying to all in a competent Azir usually results in him dashing to solider -> ulting you into his tower. It does not work out.

Counter pick him with champions like fizz, ahri, ekko, heimerdinger. OR if you're in blind, ask for ganks pre six

You can wait for riot to reduce the damage from his soldier. You can wait for riot to apply a health value to his soldiers so you can kill them with an AoE. You can be amazed at how absurdly ranged he is.

The most success I've had vs Azir is just playing Malzahar or Xerath. In my personal opinion the best way to beat an un-interactive laner is to play another un- interactive laner.
