New to Ranked and Struggling.

So I finally took the plunge and did solo queue and the experuence has been horrifying to say the least. It seems as if I can't read minds, people go auto toxic. In champ selection if I don't know what their chars lane is, I get sworn at or trolled for asking (I can get jg, adc, sup but mid and top are not always obvious. ) I get blamed for EVERYTHING. Die once to Fizz early? Yup someone will be on me about feeding. Some pingef Baron, I engage, we lose teamfight, get yelled at for going baron. Finally figured out there is a mute button, guy yelling asks other team to report me for abuse. Every single game someone is on me and it seems my reports do nothing. Ask for advice? Yeah that goes over well. Someone either leaves if in queue or swears at you in game. I just cant seem to find a friendly place to improve and learn but ingame is a mess. Tried jax on bots last night and I was so on tilt I was worthless. Im ready to just move on to another game.

Sorry for a bit of a long rant, becuase what I really need is tips for surviving in lower solo que (silver) and locations with player friendly atmosphere to learn. Im not saying we have to hold hands but information on gameplay and improvement without the posturing would be great.

Apologies for spelling and grammar. Typed on smartphone.

If Lolking is correct, it appears you have only 45 Normal wins? That's a really low number to start playing ranked with. I can imagine that your team could get pretty frustrated if you're unfamiliar with some of the basics or if you're doing things that are totally incorrect. That's not an excuse for them to be abusive. However, it is kind of expected that you will encounter that attitude if you, say, ask which lane Singed is going to or go into lane with a cloth armor and no trinket or potions.

Playing some normal draft games for a while is a good way to prepare yourself for ranked. And just be ready to immediately mute people who are being unhelpful immature whiners.

if you tilt in bots you shouldnt be playing ranked

tbh looking at your match history and your statistics I would say you are lucky enough to be in silver because you bring up some bronze numbers in most of your games.

For example in the time it takes you to get 100 CS in a game 35-40min on average most players could have at 15 miniutes. To you this may not seam like a big deal but it is since around 18 minion kills is about the same amount of gold as 1 kill on a champion. You farm at less than half the rate of many players. Just from minions imagine them being 6 or 7 kills ahead of you not including the actual kills they have by 35 minutes into the game.

Unless you play with 5 people you know and turn off all chat there isn't anywhere to learn League without ass hats. I've had people rage in bot games. Your best bet would be finding someone willing to teach you. Fair warning though, no matter how good you are people will rage and blame you anyways. If I had a dollar for every time an 0-7 laner called me a shit jungler when I was 10-1 I'd be a wealthy man.

I'd be happy to play with you if you want someone non-toxic or judgmental. Im unranked but just because i wanted to keep this account for Normals. I had a change of heart with the pre-season changes. So if you need +1 id be glad to help.

I use skype regularly too.

I had like 200 normal wins before i started ranking thank god for that, made me better than all the bronze and didnt have to get stuck there

Now this is not based on any knowledge I have on you, but if someone/multiple people are mad at you every game... you might be doing something wrong dude ;l

(yes 45 normal wins is an extremely low number for a fresh lvl30) odds are because of above, you get matched up with... the lower ... lower slums -cough- of rankers whom are infamous for raging, toxicity, bad attitude etc. For all the legitimately good people that get stuck with them, they're gonna have a hell of a time getting out

I do encourage you to continue doing ranked cuz it's still pre season because its gonna reset when the new season starts godknowswhen anyway

btw getting a general feel of what champs goes which lane is a handy skill...somewhat, If you cant do that yet, probably shouldnt be ranking being able to do that means, you either read up alot of shit, or seen quite alot of shit yes, even odd inconventional pics are still predictable Like when I see Ahri, Teemo, Akali and some standard jungler/support I can hamper a guess that Ahri is more likely to go bot than teemo apparently(adc teemos just a troll and apparently ahri adc can be terrifying)

experience I guess

what else did i miss.... RANKED GAMES ARE NOT FOR FUN you probably can tell already, no ones there for fun, they can have fun...Which is why i stayed away from it for so long

I'd definitely encourage you to play normal draft before you try ranked again. While picks and bans aren't everything and people can exaggerate how much of an impact counterpicking matchups can have, it's still something you shouldn't be completely unfamiliar with before jumping into ranked, or it will put you at a pretty significant disadvantage. People also tend to take draft normals more seriously than blind pick, because it's a practide mode for ranked, while blind pick is basically for screwing around, and bot games are purely for practicing things like last hitting or other mechanical elements that human players aren't required for.

So I am silver, I just started playing LOL this year(4 months ago maybe, with a one month break due to pc issues) had 100 wins when I hit lv 30, dunno if that is a good number some people say yeah its okay others say I should have more, with 45 wins and jumping into ranked at least it is preseason so you can get some ranked xp before it resets, pretty much same boat as me(not saying that you are as good as me) But I had twice as many wins and pretty much I haven't had many games where I play my main role. But I know all the roles and I have pretty great cs, 200+ a game with cait, I think if your struggling work on your fundamentals.

Take your losses and learn.

Play champions that you are good with regardless of who the enemy picks.

I would go as far as to say that if you learn how to cs well, and not die(something I work on everyday being a very uber aqggresive player myself) and positioning, basically learn your role.

If you can't carry. don't. simple. win lane.

If someone who can carry(or seems like it) get them kills get their lane won, support. I know as a jungler or any role I play, I take it more as a support an will usually end up with twice as many assists as kills most times. I like to elevate others play around me rather than worrying about 5v1 me me me.

i didnt read anthing you wrote because im lazy but basically get your mind set right to play ranked. If your pissed, salty from a previous game or just a down right asshole then dont play ranked. If you keep cool and try to have fun then you'll climb. If you lose then dont get mad. Just take a small break a reflect on what you did wrong that match and what you could have done differently.

Practice more in normals maybe.

Look up a champion before you play it, and practice a champion before you bring it to ranked. You shouldn't need to ask if x is mid Lane because you can look up x. Better yet, get a build guide, see what summoners/runes/masteries to take, etc...

Maybe to start, pick your favorite 2 roles. Pick 4 champions you own for each of those roles, then 2 champions for the other 3. Write down what roles they are. Look up build guides on them. These are your main champions - ask for your 2 main roles and be willing to play anything. Only choose from these 14 champions, team comps don't matter nearly as much at your level as knowing how to play your champion does, and you'll only learn by doing. It shouldn't take too long to get very good at your 2 main roles, and a bit longer to get good at the champions in your off roles. Request roles every time even if last pick (but do what spot you're given when last) - your team will then know if you were forced in to an off role (they may still rage if you feed, but then they're just jerks).

All-In-All, practice. A lot. Don't try something new in ranked. Know who you're playing so you don't have to ask. If you ask me what Lane you should be with a champion, I'm going to assume you don't know what you're doing and you're going to make me loselose.I don't think that's unreasonable when there's so much access to information in places like mobafire and lolking.
