Rengar Early game sustain problems
Early game Rengar I have a hard time with staying alive. I start krugs then head to red. I'm lucky if Red doesn't kill. Late game I'm solid though. Any advice on early game Rengar would be great.

start red instead
get leash on krugs and smite it early. When you do red next, use your empowered W (healing roar) whenever you can if you're getting too low. If played a bunch of rengar and while i've gotten a bit low after red buff, i haven't had huge problems with sustain.
Alright so I used to play a TON of Rengar a while back and I think I can help you out. I have two strategies that can help you out. With runes and without runes.
Without Runes Always start krugs, smite early and then go to red if you have full HP. If you don't have full HP go do the scuttle crab while drinking a pot, make sure to get 4 or 5 ferocity stacks when completing scuttle so u can finish red easier. Go back to red with full HP and the ferocity stacks and ONLY use Empowered Q when you have it for red. DO NOT USE Empowered W. Your smite should be up so smite red and then go to raptors, take out all the little ones first and then the big one. Recall, buy Rangers Trailblazer (purple smite) and do your blue side. Do wolves then blue, saving the smite for blue and then do gromp or scuttle, around this time you can also start looking to gank.
With Runes (You will need ad reds, armor yellows, cdr and or armor pen blues, and 2 attack speed quints along with and ad quint.) Start golems, smite early and then head over to scuttle if you want the extra hp and smite to be up, if not the skip this step. Go to red and it should die fairly easily, smiting optional. Do raptors, wolves and then recall if you need to. For your jungle item you can go either Rangers for faster clears and more sustain or Stalkers for stronger ganks, taking stalkers would suggest you don't really need the extra sustain.
Hopefully this helps you out a bit, I used to play Rengar a lot without runes so transitioning over to playing with them made the experience a lot more enjoyable and showed me a few tricks to keep him alive in the junge early on.
On jungle rengar, you should start on the bottom side of your jungle because your bot lane can help leash for you. Then do either gromp/krugs (make sure you smite) and rotate to the nearest buff. After you do that buff, rotate to your next buff and your smite should come up in time for you to use.
OPTIONAL (if you don't feel confident to do the 2nd buff immediately): Kill the scuttler (in river) after your first buff.
Now here are some tips for jungling as rengar during your first clear:
When you're doing red/blue buff, do this combo: W->autoattack->Q After you finish this combo, run to the nearest brush and let the monsters pursue you (doing this buys you extra time for your spells to come back up off of cooldown and minimizes the dmg you take)
Focus on killing the largest monster in every camp.
When you get full ferocity stacks, always try to use your Q first because it'll help you clear the camp faster therefore minimize the amount of dmg you take. If you're not in danger of dying and you have less than full hp, you can choose to use your W to heal if you'd like.
stop playing jungle erengar top rengar is 100x better
I use this path with every jungler and it really helps me keep my health high through the first few levels. If you're going to start red side, you should start with smiting the Krugs, then move to the raptor camp. Build your stacks, use your heal, kill the smaller raptors first, then finish off the big raptor without using your smite. Move back to the red buff and use your smite to get your health back, killing the little minions first (to save your health). This is the easiest way to get to level 3, although it's a little slower than going straight to red after Krugs. After the red buff, I always move to the scuttle crab and build some regen and my resources (mana or otherwise) before I either back, gank a lane, or ward the enemy's jungle before I back. You should have over 550 gold and be able to upgrade your machete and get a few more potions.
