Dealing with teammates who don't play objectives - Winning low level games

Hey everyone, I recently made this new account since the champion mastery thing came out as I wanted to try and main one champion all the way to 30. I've picked nidalee as she has many different build options and can play practically every position well. More often than not I end up supporting since I don't bother calling a position, since I can fill perfectly fine. This allows everyone to try and get the roles they prefer without me trying to take something. She has always been a main champion I've played on my other account so I'm not new to her at all. In at least half of my games I tend to have 10+ kills while also making sure to feed my other lanes.

I do my best to heal my teammates up during fights when everything else I have is on CD and I always build to what my team needs. AP, AD, tank, support, it doesn't matter I'll do whatever it takes to help us win. I've always had a very strategic mindset when it comes to league. This is where my problem is. I'll call objectives or times when we need to group and my team just won't listen half the time. No communication or anything from them. Now I understand this could be because it's a low level game, but it's always people you can tell are smurfing. Based on builds, cs ability, that kind of thing.

I suppose my question here is what can I do to remedy this? I've lost so many games where we've been like 40-20 in kills but people won't help me push objectives. Each of these games end up going to 50 min and we end up losing because someone decided they wanted to push bot lane by themselves and get caught out. My main account was in plat 1 last season and it just bugs me that I'm going even in win to loss ratio on this new account. I mostly have an issue with this because I know in half the games I've won had I not had 20+ kills we would have lost because of some troll or something on my team. I find it that it must be an awful experience for new players to come into the game with this being what they first see of it. Did you guys experience similar things while leveling new accounts? What do you guys advise me to do? Any help is greatly appreciated.

TL;DR: Only winning 50% of normal games while leveling up new account regardless of my being fed and trying to push objectives. Team won't respond to pleas for grouping. What do I do?

Go Charles Atlas mode and carry.

But in seriousness, beyond that there's nothing much you can do if it depends on people who tend to be outside your control.

In theory you should be playing against other smurfs. They know how to play the game (if they are smurfs) but are just farming kills to look bad ass. In that case their is nothing you can do. They are not interested in winning as much as KDA.

Play a late game split pusher like MasterYi Tryndamere Udyr . and then if your team groups for turrets you can join, but if they don't they can't ignore you killing their base alone. Oh wait your nidalee only, well try getting your item 3057 and getting that split going I guess.

The only advice I can think of is pinging obvious objectives repeatedly, pinging obvious ganks repeatedly, suggesting good item builds, and teaching your team how to play if they don't know. If they do know how to play and are all smurfs (which tends to be the case), then just be a team player along with pinging.

I think I have about a 65% (normals) win rate on my lower level account (level 25 atm but did bots a bit early on because they're faster).

Yesterday I fell below 50% due to a couple bad games. These weren't exactly my teammates fault so I didn't mind too much. I'm back up to 19 wins 20 losses today though. I'm only level 10 so perhaps it'll get easier as people tend to figure out what they are doing. Right now I assume I'm getting a lot of people who are either new, or are bored smurfs who probably won't continue doing dumb things that lose them games as they level up. I know if I was playing a different champion I could probably more easily carry games, but I just enjoy the form shift playstyle of nidalee. Especially since the mastery system came out. So far I'm at level 4 with her.

If you're 4v5 under a turret, you're probably fine. If it's 3v5 under the turret, you're gonna die.

Most of this info is for the inner turret.

In general, if you're ramping up for a fight and someone's like: brb, gotta clear bot (for 20 CS), tell them they can clear bot after we ace the enemy team. But don't fight under the enemy turret (unless your team is prepared to tank it).

Nidalee If you're playing as Nidalee, you're probably sieging. The problem with sitting at an enemy turret for 3 minutes chucking spears is that non-poke teammates get bored. Try not to make a siege last more than like 1:30 (that's an additional wave) (if you're not getting turret damage, what's the point?).

If you're 5v5 at their inner turret, try backing off a little, but ward the enemy bot jungle (This applies if the outer ring is dead). DO NOT FIGHT. Let that dude clear bot, do your jungle, go to fountain and let the enemy push up a little. Make sure your teammates come back within 1 minute to protect your tower (if you're sieging an outer tower and your outer tower is up, then you need to come back ASAP) (A trip from mid to bot takes ~25 seconds and the distance from mid turret to mid turret takes ~10 seconds).

Most likely, you won't see an enemy. They backed off from the lack of pressure. This situation requires wards (ward all enemy jungle camps with your team), because at this point, you can try to ambush someone. Ward up their jungle camps and mid-jungle entrances and try to force a greedy ADC or jungler to take a camp (No one jungles their own jungle with 5 people), then cheese them to death. if you didn't lose too much HP, you can siege a lot more effectively. If you can poke out someone, the turret is probably yours. If you miss everything, then uninstall. It's somewhat easy to convince 3 people to cheese an enemy and, in effect, ruin someone else's day.

It's a bit of a special case, but backing off from the fight (easing tension) and warding the enemy is the smart move. If someone wants to push bot and you warded the enemy paths bot, it's pretty safe. Hopefully, they won't get caught. The splitpusher will back off if he sees danger. 2 wards can easily cover the jungle entrance and a camp. 3 can give you an entrance, a camp, and an exit. I can't really explain where to ward, but just think about what the enemy path might be.

I think it might help if you say: We're going to fight this, we can ace them. (Many bronze players splitpush when their team is sieging...?). After all, it's not like they can spend the 400g they get from botlane...

Basically, players will do whatever they want. If Graves decides to clear regardless of your pleas, you need to retreat ping. When your sieging team sees a retreat ping and Nidalee running away, they'll follow you. Try again later.

That's just my opinion on the matter. Try it out. You should have a better win rate.

tl;dr, Don't siege for too long, cheese the enemy, and ward up to win the game.

If you want to win lower Elo games, then you must pick a carry style/snowballing champion. Assassins can do that well, or Riven, Draven and many others.

The most obvious answer is: play a different champion that can demolish towers. If the team groups up and helps, great. If not, you just splitpush while they run around doing whatever. AP XinZhao can actually 1v1 towers without the minion wave after gathering two or three items, making him perfect for surprise attacks on towers. Other classic splitpush champions Tryndamere Udyr Nasus MasterYi work just as fine. AD Malzahar is probably the best tower destroyer in the game.

However, if you want to play Nidalee, there's several items you can take. item 3057 and any item that builds out of it helps. A good combo is item 3056 item 3512 item 3060 since the stats and actives of all three items work well together. This has the downside of turning you into tank/AP bruiser Nid, but you'll be great at taking towers.

Basically what I'm saying here is that if you want something done, do it yourself. Especially below level 30.

People under lvl 30 in normal games are playing for fun, while you are trying too hard in non ranked games.
