How to beat Fizz as Annie?

So I just went against a Fizz mid lane. I know I'm pretty good with Annie (I play her a lot, get lots of practice, watch lots of guides) and I have had a really good win rate with Support Annie recently. Last game I was in, support got called so I went to mid lane. (I usually do good with Annie Mid, I know how to harass when they try to CS and stuff.)

Anyways, so I went against the Fizz and he wrecked me. Every time I tried for a stun, he'd playful trickster to me and get a lot of burst off even when I did a Q W combo. Even when I got Tibbers things didn't change. I got him with the Tibbers stun, Q and W'd, but then since he didn't die he ulted and bursted me down in a second even though we had basically the same items. What do I do against this guy? Fizz's got so many jukes and all I have is a 3 way burst that doesn't do much until I get AP.

Our Shaco jungle gave him a kill and it pretty much snowballed from there even though he got no items after killing him.

Anyways, can anyone give me some tips for laning against Fizz and possibly some tips for Annie Mid?

I know how to last hit with Q, harass with Q, all that stuff. It's just he does half my health with one Playful Trickter and one Doran's Ring and my Q W combo does considerably less.

I really like Annie and I want to master her (level 4 Annie) so any tips would be appreciated.

I haven't gotten into ranked yet even though it's been about a year since I joined and I want to prepare for it for the first time ever. (While I was on the road to level 30 I avoided PvP as much as I could until I finally got dragged into it around level 21.)

i have a 70% win rate on my smurf in gold 1 with annie, just keep your distance and go in when his e is down, always look to dodge his ult and you win the lane easy. And always ult when your stun is up if you get fed enough you can kill him before he can e, but i would always look to kill him once thats down.

Your stun on your Q won't be wasted, when he goes untargetable. Use it more as a fear factor, and max your W since that's the only thing you'll be landing on him. If he backs off of the trade, instead of going all-in just Q him while he attempts to run back.

Also, you can ambush him when he thinks you don't have your stun up. You can leave it at 3 charges, then right before you attack you quickly press your shield(the 4th charge) and flash tibbers. He won't be expecting you to attack when your stun isn't up, so you will most likely take him by surprise.

And don't forget, you want to constantly harass him. He is melee, you have one of the longest autoattacks in the game, use it.

Lastly, I looked up your build, and you shouldn't build Annie as a glass cannon. Your first buy should be a Rod of Ages. Though, no matter the champion, no matter the game, if you're constantly getting burst down before you have a chance to do anything, then you want to build a defensive item.

If you use Q and he E's it, your stun will still be up.

Stun with your W; the hit is instantaneous; it gives Fizz no time to react by dodging your Q projectile, unless he predicts it. Should help

All I can say is don't engage when his E is up. Let him use it, then flash tibbers and kill him. Here's a tip: Use W and Q when your stun is not up. If he uses it , then not only is your stun up (use E if you need another stack) but he's also lower HP. So just wait 4 seconds for your W and Q to be back up then quickly flash R W Q Ignite. Fizz's E has a low CD, but your W and Q are lower.

I haven't personally played that match up but you just have to watch the fizz like a hawk. Fizz tends to be a predictable champion, there are right moves and wrong moves. Just watch him go in to last hit and make him pay for it. After you do so back up to safety. Just play relatively opportunistic.

If you are looking to kill him on the other hand, do your trade once or twice and wait for him to go up on his pole; stun him and give full rotation. If it doesn't kill him don't chase, you will out scale him merely through level.
