On tanky junglers yes.

No. A major reason that support tanks are much less tanky and deal much less damage than top lane or jungle tanks is because they have a slot taken up by sightstone which neither gives them tankiness or damage.

The only junglers I would take sightstone on are Lee Sin and Jax for their ward hop, and Nunu because he is essentially a support, rather than a true tank that can jump into the enemy team and start wrecking things with high damage and CC.

Sightstone has +Health, which synergizes with your Cinderhulk enchantment junglers like Rek'sai and Nunu, while also being of benefit to people that gain bonuses for stacking health (like the passive on Volibear). Obviously, this is not the kind of route that you want to go unless you plan on going Cinderhulk, though, as you gain far less benefits by using up that extra slot (instead of upgrading a yellow trinket at level 9). Vision is king, especially at Silver, since you can put deep wards in the enemy jungle and watch while they get extremely low in a camp. Jump on them, send them back to the fountain, and set them behind while you make a play on one of their buffs or help secure an objective with another member of your team.

A lot of your itemization will be up to you at a personal level for what you feel comfortable with. Buying sightstone after finishing your jungling item will give about a 3 minute gap where you will not be nearly as tanky as if you bought a different MR/Armor item, but (like in my circumstance with being a Malphite jungle main) many times I will rush a Righteous Glory and all that does is boost my health (and the effective bonus of my Cinderhulk) anyway. Look at your jungle pool, assess the enemy team, and evaluate whether you need that extra vision with the bonus health or if a standard build would be better. I think you might be surprised that a sightstone doesn't put you very far behind in many cases, but provides a wealth of knowledge and opportunity (like not relying on a support to ward Dragon and Baron after 20 minutes).

If you're a utility jungler, and you're rushing the sightstone well before level 9 when you can upgrade your trinket, then sure.

It's more efficient for you to go for the trinket upgrade, however you cannot do this til you're a level 9 jungler, when the laning phase is about over already.

is ur sup doing their job? are they controlling ur jungle? invest in it if u have hard time tracking their movements. when ever im forced to another role beside support I always check the support's ward rate if its below then 30 per game I try get sight stone.
