Returning after 2 seasons of absence. What'd I miss?

Azurada··1 votes·878 views

My old laptop keeled over not long after season 3 ended, and haven't been able to remedy anything up until now.

Now that i have a fresh new laptop to do things on (hopefully to be able to run drawing and animation programs), i thought i'd come back to this.

What all should i be caught up on, given my absence since the end of the third season?

The biggest changes are probably support roles and just about everything in the jungle. Next worry about the new champs since a few are seeing quite a bit of play. After that get use to some of the new build paths and items that have come into play. Other than that have fun and welcome back.

There's some new champions and skins, the map we all know and love got an update, there's some new temporary game modes that show up from time to time, and mobility is stronger than ever. High mobility champions are typically better, but with a little work all champions can still hold their own.

The biggest change I can think of is that the Sion rework finally happened.

Thanks, i was actually anticipating the Sion rework. How's he feel?

He forgot to add that things have gotten worse server wise and some other ( bad ) decisions riot has made like the Cassiopeia rework and how armor is crap now and crit is beyond OP, and so on. I've been playing since preseason 2...

Servers worse? how? i was playing the other night and things seemed rather smooth.

Cassi rework? I would need to play her again to be sure.

How is armor crap now?

and wasn't crit usually a bit much? I remember dodge was pretty freaking stupid before it was removed.

It depends on where you're located at majority of all east coast's ping is crap now and a lot of packet loss things like that. And Cass was completely destroyed, but Stashu is working on fixing her or at least trying to fix what he did wrong. Armor is like paper right now it just gets torn through by armor pen and magic pen ; there's a lot of posts about some of these things on the boards here. And yeah all RNG was bad in general lol, but now it's all about crit and it basically kind of ignores armor now too. item 3031 is getting nerfed soon so that's a good thing.

Feel free to ignore anything about armor and crits. A very vocal minority have taken to the forum and don't really understand what they are talking about.

Armor is the same as it has always been, kiting is just stronger now and so you take more hits before getting in range. Crits as a mechanic are the same, however certain crit items are getting changes to even out their power spikes. I'll admit that things feel different on these two fronts, but as far as the actual numbers are concerned it's the same as it's always been.
