I'd love some tips :)

So; I just decided to come over from smite, although I have played League before...it wasn't much. I played to level 5 then uninstalled. But I do have myself some decent amount of MOBA experience, DOTA, DOTA 2, SMITE, Heroes, Dawnstone, and some LoL. Although, for the most part I've played smite, which out of all the games I just mentioned is the fasted paced MOBA I've played, so considering how much SMITE I've played, of course it's very different to LoL. The meta is definitely going to be different, and from all I've seen the pace of the game is as well, it's very slow to what I'm used to. I would like some tips, hoping the community wouldn't mind helping me :).

Currently I am level 13. I have a "All" mastery tree. Which is for all the characters I use, but I don't think it's working well...but at the same time I also feel its kind of weird to put masteries. for an individual character with only 13/30 points. Here's the tree: 4/0/9 Damage: 4 in Sorcery. Utility: 3 in Fleet Foot, 3 in Meditation, 3 in Summoner's Insight. Did I do the right thing with that, or should I just make individual pages for all the champs I own?

So far I own the following: Alistar Amumu Ashe Fiddlesticks Garen Kayle Master Yi Pantheon Riven Shaco Teemo Tristana Tryndamere Twisted Fate Udyr Warwich Zed.

I am working on getting: Aatrox Akali Katarina

Are my choices in champion good at this point so far? I mostly play Master Yi, Pantheon, Garen, Aatrox (since he's in free rotation) and Teemo.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks for accepting me into your community!

Honestly at level 13 masteries and Runes for that matter are rather moot. A single generic page, while not ideal, is probably fine. At some point as you approach level 21 where you can reach the higher tiers of each mastery set I'd probably build like 5 pages as follows:

  1. All offensive AD oriented

  2. All offensive AP oriented

  3. All defensive AR/MR oriented

  4. All utility Gold oriented

  5. Mixed Max Sustain page for ARAM games

As for runes there are 2 schools of thought. Buy one or two sets of super cheap Tier 1 pages that are very generic and can be used on anyone. This is because T1 runes are super cheap and offer some useful stats. Don't go hog wild though as they do become obsolete.

Never buy T2 runes! Their value is garbage in price to performance.

Eventally build custom pages of T3 runes for every champion. Many overlap in cases like all ADC marksmen can generally use same ones, all AP caster, all tanks, ect. You can customize more detailed pages as you get the runes and pages to do so in time.

The other option. Is to just pass on runes till level 21 all together and then slowly build your first generic Every Champion T3 page, and expand from there.

Finally as far as champions go...at your level of play any champions are going to be fine as long as you generally begin to play them in their currently suggested roles on a team. Team builder is great for that. I would highly recommend buying all the cheapest ones as you can afford them...only saving up for more expensive ones that you really really really want. This will give you a larger pool to play with once you decide to dip your toe in ranked and draft modes where being able to trade and having back up choices is important. Eventally you will need to pick up the most commonly used ones as first picking them for your teammates becomes more important than if you acruelly use them yourself.

Hope that helps. Good luck and see you on the fields.

Definitely looks better than what you had. It's all pretty generic until you get lots of specific champions that require wonky pages like Vladimir for example. Stick to generic pages for each role you play for now. Looks like your are heading in the right direction.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to get some practice on ADC champions, because it's important to know how that type of champion works even when you're not playing as one. You have Ashe and Tristana already, maybe think about picking up Caitlyn (safe laner with long range) and Kog'Maw (weak early with no escapes, but super strong late game).
