How to land Ahri's Charm?

When playing Ahri, I feel it is really simple to dodge my charm with simple abilities (most notably Katarina's Shunpo, Fizz's Playful Trickster, etc). This causes me to miss my combo and essentially lose any trade 12 seconds after. So: Is there any way to bait it out these abilities or guarantee a charm-hit?

Usually you want to wait until your enemy has chosen a fight or flight response to battle. Be patient with it if necessary. With Ahri, most exchanges are better as throwing Q and running then a full trade. You use charm to kill.

So what you're saying is...

you want to go to Charm School >:D

I think the best way's to probably practice a lot with a friend or so. I don't feel like there's a particular way, maybe just get closer to the target before charming so that it doesn't need to travel so far.

it just takes getting used to the speed it travels and the hitbox. it's definitely a lot harder to land than regular skillshots but really it's all about practice.

Don't try to randomly charm a Kat or Fizz or LeBlanc etc (unless they have slow reaction times). If you're against a mobile champion, wait until they use their mobility spell on minions or yourself, then use your charm. In general, try to land a charm while they are busy csing or drive them into a corner (such as that small gap between turret and wall). Sometimes you have to ult-charm combo quickly to land it well. Remember you don't HAVE to land charm to win trades, you can harass with Q W, especially vs melee mages like Kat/Fizz.

My best method of landing Charm is to never use it in situations you are not garunteed to land it (in these situations there is no reason not to use if and you should if you KNOW it will land. One of many examples in this senario unclude a stunned or rooted or hard cc'd enemy. Yeah, go ahead and Charm) Or, use your Spirit Rush to immediately place yourself closer to them and off to the side (a diagnol dash) and either use it immediately, or q + w and 2nd Spirit Rush, and perform the Charm in this window (Dashing parrallel with them, effectively chasing them)

What this does is reduce the amount of times you actually use Charm, but greatly improves the accuracy and frequency with which you land it. Sure you might be missing out on a few Charms you may otherwise not attempt, but you'll get a greater grasp of the move and at the same time train yourself to play Ahri in a style that doesn't mainly involve her Charm. It's a big part of her kit, of course. But if you can be good, and sufficient with Ahri without Charm, then actually using and landing Charm will make you a better Ahri player. I hope anything I have said at all is in any way remotely useful!
