How to climb - A Guide By Moi

Hello and I will tell you the number 1 tip to climbing the ranks of ranked. I'm currently climbing on two accounts which is why I stopped at where I am.

Step 1: Choose a champion that you like the most and would like to learn fully ( literally everything about the champ ). Answer: Mine was Riven in this situation.

Step 2: Find a streamer who mains your favorite champion. Answer: Mine is Box Box.

Step 3: Watch the streamer everytime he's streaming and if you can't then youtube VOD's of the streamer and pay attention to everything that he does and try to re-do it until you get it good. Answer: Watched every compilation, VOD from https://www.youtube.com/user/boxboxvods so I know how to deal with literally every match up in both top and mid lane.

Step 4: Youtube everything ( literally ) about the champ. Answer: I started off riven playing normally then I noticed you can animation cancel with her qwer, the hardest one for me to master was Q since it requires you to AA(autoattack) , Q, Move, AA, Q, M , AA , Q , M but after school I dedicated at least 5 hours a day doing it to wraiths in the jungle until I could do it normally. So yeah find out everything about the champ until you know everything. In a ADC's situation you should master Stutter stepping and when to position your self and who to focus. GL.

Step 5: Learn to defeat EVERY matchup NO matter how hard they are or how much they counter you because no matter what there is always a way.. So youtube the matchup and follow and learn.

Step 6: Now you should know everything about your champion. I'm so confident with riven that I even play her in ranked jungle and stay on par with CS from all my laners and out CS the jungler as you can see in this match: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1610924448/210139937 Riven Jungle CS: 123 Riven Lane CS: 68

Shaco Jungle CS: 67 Shaco Lane CS: 105 If I was able to do this while getting a better score than him even though my lanes were losing then anything is possible.

Step 7: Watch your replays of every match and see what you did wrong, you might need a good analyzer to find your mistakes unless you can see them yourself like I could. After I found all my mistakes I took reflection and stopped making those dumb mistakes.

What I did to see results: I have every match recorded from about 5 months ago of me playing riven and I never played her to improve, I played a normal, basic, terrible low ELO riven and if you want to see my matches you can go right ahead. Either way I made this account a riven main from literally last week. I started in Gold 1 Series and after I lost my series I decided I wanted to main another champion so I chose riven and went into ranked and did completely terrible and dropped all the way to gold 3 20LP and from there I did all the steps I listed above and now with riven alone I climbed back into Gold 1.

Conclusion: In the start my riven W/L was 3/12, and now it's 22/19 and that's from just from learning her from g3 to g1, you can see the improvements were real and they will only get better. Master a champion, Do everything I told you and you will climb.

~ PS my main is in Plat and I only mained ADC on it so yeah I stopped climbing to learn another and now I will get to plat with riven and the the biggest thing is I did all of the above in less than 7 days and played riven 40(ranked times) + about 20 normals so yes I was tired and couldn't focus in school but thats just me.
