If your team lacks champions like this, like it's lacking a hard scaling ADC or damage champs in other roles you are probably better off playing one of your own carries mid. The fewer carries on your team the more you're dependent on them and if they fail your whole team doesn't work

You are counting on snowballing before her damage falls off, have an better late game magic damage threat, or counting on your ADC to carry really hard late.
