Tips for becoming a Jungler or just Improving as one.
**1. Communicate in Pick&Ban phase! **First of all remember that game can be lost before it has started. When you are in champion pick&ban room communicate with your teammates and try to think about champion your team needs. Do they need tank initiator with hard cc? Well Rengar and Kha'Zix are not the best choice this way. You have Mundo on top who will stand all the storms and hurricanes? Consider something with damage. What I mean is that each game is different. Get a champion which will greatly fill your team composition. **2. Be flexible, observe the map! **Don't try to create a standard tactic for every game. The most valuable jungler is the one who is able to be flexible. Like I said every game is different. It has literally no sense to gank your Nasus after your second buff. You propably won't be able to kill his opponent (as Nasus won't do any damage) and you will lose time. Of course if he lost so hard in that 3 minutes it might be necessery. But in overall watch the map. You can get tons of information about who is winning/losing, which enemy is easy to gank, which is not. 3. When to buy a tent? You killed enemy laner with your gank and he starts to cry in a gamechat? Couldn't be better! Go to the nearest market, buy comfortable tent and enjoy your camping time on that lane. Most likely this enemy will rage so much that it will lead him to massively losing the game or he will just rage quit, blaming his jungler. 4. Always get purple ward! Literally, one guy can place one vision ward. Don't wait for your teammates to do it as they propably won't. Just be sure that yours is always placed in the map. You can also ask your teammates to do the same. Vision is one of the most important thing. Don't misjudge it. 5. Buy wards! At least one each single teleport to the base. You can help your teammates with map awareness and also control enemy jungler by this move. Just do it. 6. Teammate flames you? How many of you were playing pretty good but there was still at least one guy who instead of playing was busy by thrashtalking? "Vi why no gank" "gg Lee Sin" "report Jarvan" "fuck you Amumu, you lost the game". They never observe what you did. Even if u fed your top laner, got two drakes and three kilks on bot, he will still flame you because he is basically too low to play good. My advice is simple, ignore him. Don't you dare to waste your time for typing with this guy. Just keep playing your game. 7. Control enemy jungler. Basically you should do that by placing deep wards in his jungle (you can ask your support to do that as well). If you know what enemy jungler is planning to do you can counter his jungle/ganks or go somewhere else to secure the kill. Also if you see enemy jungler at the top don't waste your time. Just go and do the drake (if possible with some kills on mid/bot). Your smite will always win when enemy team does not have one near objective you want to take down. 8. Observe your teammates. You can get some conclusions from looking at your teammates gameplay. If it leads you to think that they are retarted don't do dangerous moves like tower dives. They might not react and you will all gonna die. 9. Try to steal enemy's buff and his life also! We can predict overall time of enemy's buff spawn. If he starts blue side it will spawn around 7.15, 12.15 and so on. Same to red buff. Ask your support to place a ward one minute before and feel free to get the buff and the jungler with your teammates as soon as they will show up. 10. Don't ignore scuttlers (especially on early levels) Simply, they give you huge amount of gold, some vision and experience for free as they cant hurt you. 11. Ganking is not a lottery! It's not gambling. Go to the lane which need your help or where you can easily secure the kill. You won't lose your and your teammates time. Ask them if enemies have their summoners and observe every lane before doing any moves. You are not needed on top where your Renekton is 5/0 and your bot is losing hard just because you were nearby. 12. Check if there are premades in enemy team. Especially if there is jungler+laner. He will propably babysit his friend so you can choose, either you counter him or just tell your teammate to play safe and wreck the game in other side of the map. **13.If u can, leave the kills for your teammates. **You know you will be fine with or without them, but you can't predict how good your teammates are so leave the gold for them. Let them have a chance to snowball/come back. **14. Keep up with timer. **If u know that drake will spawn in a minute, don't go top. You will open enemies the gate to get it. Remember, timers of baron/drake/buffs are your biggest friends. **15. Don't always try suicidal dragon steal! **If enemy is doing 2nd-4th drake and you don't have a flash Don't do suicidal smite. Even if u get it, it won't be worth as drake no longer gives money. If it's 1st you can try to steal it. If it's 5th then you MUST steal it. 16. Get the free farm. Huge farm near you and laner is not there? Go get it. Free gold and experience for you. You can't feed turret so basically if you don't do that, they are wasted for free. 17. Help with push. If u did a good gank and your team secured kills, help your teammates to push the turret. Gold from objectives is more important than your raptors. 18. Red trinket is must have item! You can start with yellow and defend yourself early game. Just replace it lately. You need to have a chance to clear enemies wards. Otherwise your ganks won't be effective. 19. Use pings! We know you are great and your eyes are everywhere in the map. But your teammates propably aren't at your level. So, use pings! Inform them what you or your enemies are going to do. Give them time to react. 20. You are your biggest enemy so remember to have your brain always switched ON. Basically that's all. Thank you for reading and good luck on Summoner's Rift. Also I'd apprecciate if you could leave a comment with some feedback. Did you like that kind of tips? Maybe I will try to make more tips like that for another positions. Cheers, Let the jungle be yours!
-As i said earlier in the post, you have the possibility of getting flamed by your team, so you typically want to develope thick skin, or just if you dont already care what people say, then your good =), just dont the the guy (or girl) who gets insulted, say "idgaf" and continue to go on tilt and ignore the team.
-Happy jungling!
