Dear Jungler

Let me start this off by saying thank you. I play a lot of Riven, primarily top, so thank you for pressuring other lanes, sometimes warding for me if I am pushing and don't have any available, even the rare gank, it is all really appreciated. But can we discuss a few things?

1. I understand you may have to/want to put priority on other lanes, most the time I prefer it that way. However when I see you at krugs and I get dove I may be a little annoyed. When I say we can dive easy and you recall at 3/4 to full HP, I will sigh and hope my lane isn't frozen at that point (assuming I was pushing to prep for a dive).

2. If I TP bot, or mid, please if you are topside cover the lane, it is free gold and XP for you, I can't get it, I went to bot/mid. Just one thing, don't leave the lane where it can be frozen. This is probably the worst thing you can do, especially top, mid freezes they can roam, eat wolves/wraiths, look for picks in the jungle. Bot gets frozen they are ranged and can make them lose 3/4 of their HP for that freeze. If a melee vs melee top lane is frozen I can take krugs/gromp....sometimes maybe get scuttle and then sit there denied gold, possibly XP depending on the risk. I can't roam as efficiently, if my TP isn't up and I show bot, my tower is gone, if I show mid, half my tower HP is gone, and they have a fantastic back window for their newfound gold lead. As a general rule for top, if you can't freeze the lane for your top laner, push that bitch into tower and let it reset. That way if when I return I want it pushing I can do that, if i want to freeze, I can also do that, if I want it in the middle, can also be done.

3. Understand when ganking for a frozen lane, this is a lot of gold sitting here for free, I will probably not want to break the freeze for nothing. Personally I LOVE if my JG asks "Can we kill or do you want to keep freeze?" Because if I say I would rather freeze, you can still show up scare him back, maybe burn flash, I will act like I am going in at the very least, maybe they misplay and I see a chance to go in and do so, just be safe with it, don't risk dying. If you are in doubt just leave, most top laners are very well adjusted to the island mentality.

4. I do NOT expect you to know my matchup, just know that if I say "This is a bad matchup, can I get some help early/post 6?" I am not demanding, I genuinely need the help, some matchups I need help early, Darius for example, if he gets ahead (CS lead not a kill) at 6 I can be dead in a heartbeat. So I may ask for help, if I say the matchup is bad and I am just gonna farm, you can show pressure top to help make it easier, but really don't expect any help in the gank, Kennen for example, once I get my CDR and hex (around 3.5k gold) I can probably solo him, I just may need some help getting there safely.

5. If you need help, ping it. I can't see everything, sometimes I miss things, if you need help because you are being invaded ping, I will TP or run there if i can. Don't just do nothing then die then blame me in chat, yes I should have seen it, but nobody is perfect.

6. If I am in a snowball matchup (usually am myself because Riven) then please, even if you are sej or any other farm intense JG (udyr for example) don't be afraid to throw a 3 minute gank out, just to see what happens. Most the time it will cost you nothing, as your camps are down or your waiting on smite to finish your clear, try a gank top, doesn't work fine, go get scuttle. Just remember for any matchup regardless of if it snowballs or not, if you show up once, you make the enemy have to think of you every time they fight. That alone can help a TON.

7. And for you farming JGs, I understand you need the gold and XP, get it. I know you may not be ass effective pre6 as other JGs, that is perfectly fine. Farm away, when i leave lane feel free to take gold/xp and push my lane to tower. But if I take krugs or gromp, don't rage, don't scream "GET AWAY FROM MY CAMPS" chances are I am taking it for a reason. Either my lane is unfarmable, I am rotating to mid and want to maximize my efficiency (walking to lane is less efficient than say taking wolves then getting to mid) but the most important thing as a FARM jungler, secure the scuttle, that bug really lets me place more efficient wards and be much safer, as well as because I have more efficient wards I can play accordingly, if I see JG at red I know to abck off, if i have most of his red side warded and no sight of him, I can play aggro and bot can be safe.

But really thank you junglers, I know people can give you guys alot of shit, especially some top laners. Know most of your work is actually appreciated, even if it goes unsaid. So truly, thank you, for getting that dragon, for getting mid ahead, for holding my lane so I can freeze it when I get there.
