Hey guys!, I have an account in the LAS server, but im asking it here in NA since there is more people here. I started playing LoL since mid-season 3, around when liss came out, and went through all possible positions, but im currently in doubt about which one to main, I know you'll say that that's up to me and so on, but im going to put below how my mind works in the game and irl.

I am such a p*ssy guy, or a defensive player rather, I dont like to trade/take risks if im behind or if I'm not certainly sure that I'm going to win, and moreover I prefer to farm rather than roaming unless im VERY ahead of my lane opponent, mainly because if the roaming doesnt go as expected, i'll end up losing my lead, and overall a waste of time. I like personally to take early leads, like early powerspikes and so on, because as I'm such a safe player I kinda know how to make that lead grow and not get caught, etc. In real life im pretty much the same though, i'll always go to the safe, not going to take risks in vain. OK, now you know how my playstyle really is. The thing is that I like all the positions and I don't really know which one to take:

Top lane: As I started playing top lane in my first 5 levels or so... it went pretty bad and as many top lane meta champions are tanks, I dont do so well with those because of my playstyle. But with the new Juggernaut patch champions like Fiora, Darius, Garen, etc. Are champions you can carry a game pretty easily with.

Jungle: As I mentioned before, early leads are the ones that make the difference IMO, from early dragons, to lvl 2 counterjungling, this can make such a difference. But as I play very safely, I usually get counterjungled or make bad decisions because of this.

Mid: This one and AD Carry are the ones I have the most love for, I like to play safe poke mages, or even those type of assasins with tons of Aoe which potencial relies in entering a teamfight at the right moment (Ej. Katarina, Talon). Also the early leads you can have against your enemy mid laner are crucial, as this lane is the closest one to inhibs and pretty much the lane that decides the game, but the bad thing about mid lane is that EVERYONE in elo Silver-Gold "mains" this position, and its superhard to get mid in ranked if you are one of the last picks.

AD Carry: As I have said before, I have mained ADC for some months now and it is the lane that I have done the best with, together with Mid lane. Just being 15 minutes only farming and knowing when to go in, when to push, when to freeze, etc its very satisfying if you have a support that knows how to cs under turret with you, and knows that his role isn't just about warding and landing hooks. But the thing I hate is that if you get behind, its kinda hard to get back in the game as you'll be squishy as a lvl 1 lux lmao. And the fact of having to depend on someone to get a lead its kinda obnoxious, as it can be a guy that doesn't know how to play support, like 90% of Silver-Gold elo.

Support: This I think is the one that I played the least, because it just doesn't fit me, even though I am that kind of guy that always has team mentality, but the fact of not doing damage, and having to roam a lot, going tanky, tanking turrets and sacrificing for the team just ain't for me, not because of the typic "I just want me to get fed, not my team", none of that, its because i'll always try to play the safest when I don't know if we'll win, that's why I played champs like Janna, Lulu, Annie.

Ok guys please let me know what you think I should main, every comment helps. Regards from Argentina

PD: Sorry for the sh*tty english tho.

Reading about your playstyle, I feel as though top would be a good spot for you. The majority of the time it is a 1v1 lane (also known as the island) that thrives on cs, trading, and map awareness. I know you mentioned that you don't like tanks but there are plenty of aggressive style (assassins, bruisers, mages) top laners (liss is actually pretty strong against the juggernauts). If you haven't done it already, give gnar a try. He is a very happy hybrid. The nice thing about top is a great TP or split-push can completely change the lane around. This always places you in a very crucial role for the team. However, if you really like mid then continue to pursue it. I can certainly tell you don't want to play supp or jung lol.

Play what you thrive in and enjoy, if you hate top but are really good, don't do it, if you enjoy jungle but suck at it, learn to play and don't stop trying to improve

I think that AD carry would probably be your better role to main with your play style. A lot of the early game for ADCs is focused largely around farming well and gaining an advantage on the enemy laner. Flashy plays can happen, but that's usually up to the support to initiate and the ADC to then follow up on.

Jungle would be an awful role for you to play, because jungle basically requires you to be an aggressive player. Being more passive can work, but in my opinion jungle is mostly about asserting your own dominance over the other jungler through directly pressuring lanes, the other jungler, and objectives. So it naturally takes aggression and risk taking, calculated risks, but risk taking nonetheless.

Mid lane could work, but you'd want to stick primarily to mages that farm and punish mistakes in lane. I'd recommend champions like Xerath Viktor Orianna, they punish mistakes in lane very hard, at least from my experience. They're also capable of absorbing a lot of jungle pressure safely.

For top lane, it could also work, but it's less likely to carry a game unless you get one of the champions that's frequently banned. Fiora Gangplank Darius But they scale very well with farm, and easily punish mistakes as well. Honestly they might not even be good options for you either as they're supposed to be aggressive in lane, aside from GP anyway.

If you wanna mid just play Anivia. You may be slow but you can just farm safely with your AA range (though the animation is pretty shitty). The main reason I play Anivia is because she's good at punishing mistakes. I usually just farm and don't bother to harass much but as soon as the enemy laner makes a mistake all it takes is A Q+E or R+E to shut them up. Once you hit level 6 farming is really easy. Just buy some mana and put your ult down. Anivia is pretty great at pushing lanes. Another great thing is the passive, the enemy is gonna have to kill you twice, early game if your not playing too well you can just sit under tower and if your passive is up you can just die under tower and prevent them from diving.
