IDK What To Main- Help Please

OK, So first of all the only roles that appeal to me are jungle, top, mid(assassins).

Lately I've been playing jungle only and was completely destroying my enemies with shyvana, but then once i got matched with worse teammates i realized i only did good because i was playing an op champ, i couldn't carry my team. I like Rek'Sai jungle but I'm not great with him, also i like jax but I'm horrible at ganking with him so i fall behind since i have no kills. Also i feel there is a lot of pressure on the jungler to gank and some ppl expect you to gank an enemy they've fed. It also feels terrible when i go in to gank and i end up dieing.

Mid: in mid lane i love champs like yasuo and zed, yasuo is my most played champ and i often do good with him but in late game i find he is too squishy, unless i build warmongs armor, is that dumb of me? Also i played talon and liked him but mages other than ahri would destroy me, maybe i just need to practice dodging skillshots also katarina was hard to beat. I feel mid has less pressure than jungle but you have to ward lots and also worry about a champion that you have to outplay. i might try zed soon or maybe azir, in mid. Tell me what do i do when im a bursty champ like yas or talon and i get stunned or silenced, everytime it happens late game im instantly dead. i dont finish the games fast enough so ppl end up catching up to me.

Top: In top lane i played lots of Riven and did very well up there but,i felt no matter how much i played her i never got better. I was going to get gnar and play top but my friend and i play together everyday and if i main top he will have to switch and he only likes top.

Playstyle: I Think Shyvana is my fav jng because she can tank but also do lots of dmg early game so i find it easy to gank, i like to destroy my opponents so they surrender before they have the chance to catch up. I would say my skill level would be silver or gold maybe, idk i just started playing ranked games but when i play with my low level friends i just annihilate the enemy not sure if im good or if they're just really bad. Also look at my match history with Yasuo and Shyvana any thoughts?

simple dont main anything.. i play whatever sounds good at the time... maining something means you'll be crap when you get stuck in a bad spot in ranked or reg draft... cuz you dont always get what you want.... MAIN ALL

Being good at 2-3 champions in every role is very important, so you dont have to necessarily main all roles, but make sure that you can effectively play all of them for your benefit and your teams, also learning different champs for every role will help you with synergy in the sort of team comp you have. If your team has nidalee jung, xerath mid, ezreal/lulu bot, you dont want to pick something like irelia top, you want like jayce etc, for a poke comp.

Regardless currently mid/jung really control how laning phase goes for everyone on the map, mid roams and jungle ganks control who will have the advantage for the mid game. If you like mid champions, pick stuff that has decent wave clear and good roaming, Talon is actually really good at both these things, and I think talon is a good champion even though he is a "feast or famine" champ. Yasuo is okay too, the thing about late game is that you CANNOT get cc'd, its not about being squishy its just about not being hit at all. If you dont have a window in a team fight to get your abilities out, dont suicide, just wait on the outside of the fight for a window.

Bot lane is at the mercy of the rng gods for the first 10 minutes practically, ADC is the weakest role early game because youre auto attack based, so anyone with skills can burst you or deal damage and back off. However late game ADC is the best scaling position because it has the most sustained damage, constantly being able to hammer away at whatever target the ADC has.

Top is an island, win your lane and roam, lose your lane and try to split or just keep peeling your carries. Every game is different, but in solo queue ALL champions are viable, its just the playstyle you use with your champion that will determine your success with them.

quick note, i doubt that you are gold level. Your still running teir 1 and 2 runes and your worried about rank and mains............................................ ......................... . ................. ....

If you really want to main 1 role in rank be ready to

1 not always get your postion 2 fail hard when in other roles 3 Be ready to do the work when you do get your role. Cause that is the only time you will effect the game.

For what ever single role you decide make sure you are following the trends. Understand what is happening with the patches or you will get punished.

Hmm, I kind of agree that you should keep a somewhat wide spread of expertise, but it does sound like right now you need to buckle down on one and break through to another level on it before doing the same with another role.

My advice is to main the one that you don't mind struggling with because it probably will be pretty hard to break off your plateau and rise even higher.

If you go for assassins, my advice is to skip the tanky and put nearly all your eggs in the not getting caught basket. Take things like cleanse and quick silver sash as your one i-goofed second chance and focus on blowing someone up from out of the fog of war.

For fighters/off tanks I'd recommend going for items that increase your team utility so that when they do catch up and you can't carry anymore, you give your teammates opportunities to contribute even more than they could normally. Randuin's Omen and Sunfire Cape have nice hybrid defensive stats and teh actives/passives give you a bit more overall fight contribution. Frozen Mallet give a nice combo of health and AD while the slow can help you chase or peel with your team. Black cleaver reduces the target's armor rather than ignoring it, so any AD champions on your team will be able to attack your targets with more impact in addition to giving you more health, damage, and cdr. Try to focus on that and stuff like that where you get stronger, but also give your team just a little extra boost for their own to tip the overall power levels to your side.

1: Fix your runes. They are very important. 2: You seem to like melee carries. Mid is probably the best position for melee carries like Yasuo and Zed. 3: Don't use Azir. He's extremely difficult to play. 4: If you are playing Talon and getting stunned, either bring the summoner spell Cleanse summoner 1 or build the item Quicksilver Sash item 3140 or its AD upgrade Mercurial Scimitar item 3139.
