If im not mistaken I believe it depends on what you plan on doing. If you are going to be split pushing you should get
so you can clear waves extremely quickly.
If youre going to be focusing on team fights than
is going to be the better option.
It might also vary depending on what your team comp is, as a team consisting of primarily AP champions isn't going to make all that much use out of
than a team of AD champions.
Its also worth noting that
is slightly less gold than
so that may also come into account.
TL;DR though, I think
is going to be your best bet generally because of how well it synergizes with your ult and ADC.
I was a wu kong jungle main last season with like almost 500 games. climbed to like G1 I think, from like silver 4, doing almost nothing but wu kong jungle. I can tell you that it's heavily influenced by what you plan to do, and what the enemy team is.
I was partial to getting Warrior enchant
then full tank.
But if the enemy team is a very heavy, tanky team, you can substitute out the hydra for for black cleaver.
If the enemy team has no real tank line, but a bunch of squishes you can do full damage with
You can also do the same if the enemy team is going for a "protect the adc" comp.
Because at that point your whole job is to jump in, and burst the adc they are trying to protect. and With a full damage build you can easily do like 3k damage in the span of 2 seconds.
If the enemy is ahead, I normally go for
and just split push. With hydra passive/acitive/E/Q acting as almost 3 auto resets, you can clear full waves in the blink of an eye for just the 1 item, and it also helps your sustain in the jungle.
But here is the thing, Wu kong basically revolves around
. I think I literally built it every single game. Because he makes very good use of every stat is gives, and the passive is proced multiple times in his combo.
So bascially what I'm saying, is that there is no true best way to build Wu Kong every time, because almost every item after
is situational.
Some games it's even better to do
instead of warrior.
Speaking of, sunfire is also very good on Wu because when when your jukeing with clone, the burn still applies. So you just have to learn to read the situation.
always
. it's good moral support, makes you feel like you need to work harder for the stacks
I don't know many people who build
on Wukong, there are definitely better items than that
As a full AD Wukong, Q+E+Tiamat active=tons of damage. If the enemy team is rather squishy go for Tiamat. If they are not, Black Cleaver . With Wu, your focus should be taking out 1-2 people with your kit and engaging teamfights after. Tiamat does the job for that.
Probably go Tiamat for the AoE (faster+healthier clears) first no matter what (you already have flat pen from warrior and most enemies aren't tanky enough to warrant a BC rush immediately). After that, you can then either finish for the Ravenous or switch and get BC instead. If you are going for a tankier build, I'd go Tiamat>BC and then get Titanic Hydra later on instead of ravenous.
Alternatively, you can go Tiamat>Phage and then size up the game before getting something like Hex drinker or some armor and then finish the other 2 items.
bloodthirster -> infinity edge
wukong main here this is what i build
