Manamune/ Archangel's Staff: When should it be finished?

Hi, I'm a fairly new player to League. I main Jayce, and one of his core items is Manamune item 3004 . Just curious, by what time should it be transformed into Muramana item 3042 ? Same goes for Archangel's Staff item 3003 to Seraph's Embrace. item 3040 . Thank you very much. (Solo lanes)

No one really answered the guy's question lol. I'd say around 25 minutes is average, but it ultimately depends on the champ and how soon you can finish the Manamune/Archangels.

19-22~ minutes is ideal, but this is realistically for dot champs like Cass and AFK-ult-on-fountain Anivia.

The fastest you can stack tear by itself is 12min 30s~, and that's assuming you're stacking every 4 seconds.

I normally start saving for the recipe for AA staff once I hit ~600 mana because it takes about the same time to earn that 1k and charge another 150 mana. But earlier or later doesn't matter. As for Manamune, I personally feel it should be rushed, because your charge up for tear is improved as manamune, and not to mention the power spike given by muramana.

item 3043-ASAP rush it, jayce can't spam mana early game because then he'd be forced to go into hammer form to AA for mana, which makes you susceptible for harass. If you read the description, once you build a muramana, you get stacks of mana PER AUTO ATTACK. It makes stacking much faster, which allows you to get mana and atk dmg faster.

item 3003- This is situational, upgrading it gives you +8 mana per expenditure, unlike +4 from tear but the cost to upgrade is pricier and the return isn't big. Lets say I've been in lane forever and jungler keeps giving me blue, I have 500+ stacks and enough gold to complete it, I probaby will. But chances are im going to buy other things when I go B and complete it after I finish my rabadons

Get the tear immediately, then buy your other core items. Come back to Manamune when you've got a fair bit of mana built up.

If you are getting either one, get a tear ASAP. After that it depends on how much you need the other stuff from the completed items.

i buy it first, then keep it as a tear until it has 500-600 stacks on it. anything before it kind of a waste of gold.

Yes, I understand I must grab the tear immediately. However, maybe I wasn't clear enough, I'm looking for an actual time. For example, I'd like for someone to say something along the lines of "Manamune should be converted into Muramana by the 19th minute of the game."

Thanks in advance :)

I personally always rush the item 3070 early so it'll build up mana as I go along while getting my other items, then usually finish it into the Manamune/Archangel's staff mid to late game when it's already fully stacked or almost fully stacked.

Really that usually happens later in the game but it depends on who you play. With Jayce it would likely be late game because you'd need the Manamune so it'll build mana on basic attack, but I'm not sure as I'm not used to it with champs like that. Usually I build both on Singed and can have them both finished late game due to his Q giving me a mana stacks as long as I keep it running.
