Need Help with Lissandra

So I am really struggling with how to get my Lissandra keys setup correctly to use this champion. I originally wanted to setup quick-self cast for my ult on space so I would just be able to hit that when I needed to but sometimes when i hit space if I'm hovering over another champion it casts it on them, is that supposed to happen? I mean doesn't that defeat the purpose of "self" cast?

What do you guys do on your setup? Should I just give up on setting a self cast key? Or is there some trick I need.

for me, i don't run a self cast key and just press myself. if you aren't finding it easier, don't do it unless you are new to it and need practice with it. you may just need practice with it, but otherwise i would just you the mouse.
