How do I get out of Bronze?

Supraman87·1/30/2015, 7:16:51 AM·2 votes·2,206 views

So since the new season, my first game was a d/c, which took 6 hours to update. Since then i went 5-4, but got stuck in bronze 5. It's absolutely ridiculous. Even in games where i do ridiculously good, i occasionally get stuck with absolutely horrible teams.

My question is, how do I get out of this? Should I play more support champs (as jungle and support) or try and be a heavy carry?

I'm just really sick of being stuck with teams that have no skill, or who play a champ they've never used and say "Oh sorry I thought this was normals". That and junglers who don't get smite. "oops I forgot" -____-

Pick your best champion, then get really good with them in normals, then stomp on bronze 5 players, that is what I did.

Alright, I feel ya. I generally play with voli or trundle if I'm top and xerath if I'm mid. Should i try to get better with champs that have better carry potential? or does it matter as much this low level?

i'm finding it somewhat challenging to get out of bronze or even move up. i did my first ever placements late in s4 and ended the season in silver 2. didn't have so much luck in s5 placements and landed in bronze 4.. jumped to b2, and then down to b3. it doesn't seem to matter if i do well or poorly in games because my team will lose/rage regardless.

Pick your best champion/role (Make sure you know all the roles decently) and carry your team, buy wards (Doesn't matter who you are, pinks/greens) grab a sweeper after 9, make sure you are the ward machine and pray to the gods of rito that you can actually have a decent team, if your leaving the base with 75 gold, your doing something wrong

I'm currently trying to climb out, facing the same problem, literally 4 games in a row nothing but trolls and little kids (I mainly only play during non-school hours for this reason) I do decent, protect the base, farm usually have the highest farm on my team, low death ratio, push objectives, roam, then... I get a sona, or a jinx, or whoever who literally thinks its fine to rush their jungle, with no wards and our base being pushed, or a jinx calling for drag... as they are sieging our inhib tower. or my favorite, a jinx/sona bot combo... sona misses one ult, jinx rages at sona, sona then proceeds to throw the entire game because "Teaching this jinx a lesson" or an amu, who after getting pulled in by an obvious bait, while we're all pushing up towards him, cries, whines and continues to split push the entire game (This has been a few of my past games) or a fiddle... who constantly rushes head first into the enemy nexus... at level 1! or a "Support vel" who was last pick... and afk in base for the first 5 minutes, feeds mid 2 kills, goes roams top 2 kills, and just states "Gg we lost"

keep pushing, don't get discouraged you'll eventually find that good team to push you out of bronze and into silver... which is 1/10th better than bronze, then if your good enough again, you'll eventually be pushed outa silver into gold where you've successfully increased the overall playerbase by around 15%, the grind is real, we all feel your pain :(

I have noticed that riots system treats and matches people differently. If you are one of the people, for what ever reason, the system decides to hold back you will have a lot of trouble rising. Even riot says "I think our system identifies smurfs very well" in the context of people creating new accounts. I believe them, their system identifies people very well but it also, either by happenstance or design, puts some people with Horrible teams and others with great teams. The effect of this is some people rise very easily and fast while others find it nearly impossible.

It's easy enough to see this and I have done quite a bit of testing on the theory, it is just a theory though. I hate to go all "beautiful mind" (a reference most people here won't get) on this but I do play, read, test enough to notice the statistical anomalies. If the system worked only the way they claim the things I've seen would be nearly statistically impossible. Now some idiot is going to say "tinfoil hat" but it is the equivalent of a valley girl calling a physicist and idiot because what he says makes no sense to her.

The wall is around B2. Not B5. At B2, players start to CS adequately (>65%), control their death count, are kinda map aware and have a decent idea of objectives to take.

Anyone with those skills will get out of B3 easily. So work on this :

  1. Farm 65% of the cs avalaible.
  2. Consider your own failure if you die more then 3 time.
  3. Always know where 3 of your opponents are.
  4. Beat 3 bots alone in custom after jungling until your first tower go down. This force you to prioritize the right objectives since you are alone and to understand the jungle.

I carried myself out with Top Lane Evelynn, (10 and 2 with a pretty good KDA). It really is knowing the champion, what they can handle/not handle and really pouring all of your knowledge into practicing with them. Once you master 3 or 4 champions that can be multi taskers, getting out bronze is easy.

Evelynn, (Top, Mid and even Support) Ahri (Mid and Support) Diana (Top and Jungle lane)

Yeah it's kinda ridiculous. I've had games where I'll die twice but my team just throws the game completely. And it sucks because I'm out here doin my best and I'll try and, say gank a lane, but when I come in and get no help on bot when I expect my teammates to go in when I do, get killed, and then they're mad at me bc they weren't paying attention. Ridiculous lol

You really need to work on your CS pretty hard when you're not jungling. In two games I saw you played ADC...you had only 100 creeps at 30 minutes and 188 at 50 minutes...in games that long in that role...your CS should be double those. You had another
