Is it legal to ask and be pointed to any legit coaching sites? I am generally a silver scrub and would really like to improve my game.

Don't waste your money and time on coaching. There are plenty of YouTube videos for that. If you're truly interested in improving, then watch this entire video from start to finish. It was the most eye opening one I've ever watched that helped me improve drastically.
