What do I do now?

I just got my placement, I was in bronze from a lack of playing and now I'm in Gold 3 for the first time. I'm worried that I'm going to get in a game, be out classed by everyone, and fail my team. I've never really cared for ranked, since keeping my placement up I had to play regularly, so I never learned to play to many champs, sticking to what I like the most. Now I want to get better at ranked, learn new champs that are viable. I mainly enjoy support roles. I'm decent with Leona and Lulu, very rusty on Janna, I'm working on learning Braum, and thinking of buying Nami since Sona just doesn't fit me. I'm somewhat alright with Miss Fortune, Vayne, and I have Caitlyn. For mid I don't have anything that I can say reliably can deal with the meta champs. Top I can decently use Maokai and do somewhat well with Malphite. As for jungling...not really something I've done, but I believe I can use Maokai.

Any somewhat easy to learn champs for each role I can use? That fits in what I'm likely to go up against and what my team expects me to pick.

Any role I should work on first, to give me an easier time in ranked gold and above?

Think I can still beat Panthons and Rivens top as Leona? Done it so often in normals that it gets my hopes up.

If you are outclassed in gold then you will be demoted closer to where you are suppose to be.

I really, really dislike the idea of bringing my team down, so knowing I may ruin a few or a lot of games for others because I'm at my 'level' is painful. I also have the habit of getting in games where people can carry me. I may just end up ranking up even if my skill is less than everyone's. I don't like that.

first off, use what you know, just follow this as secondary. basically if you need to.

WW jungle, nasus top, ori mid, play the supports you know, cait adc. those are what I believe are the easiest champs or close to the easiest champs for those roles. if you don't know a role, play defensively that game, unless you are actually trying to learn in that game.

for WW, you just farm jungle until 6 and then gank with ult.

with nasus, you just build tank while farming Q, which can be hard, depending who you are laning vs, but can always be done.

ori one of the safest apcs I believe, and in a hard matchup/lane, you can start and max shield.

cait's a fairly easy adc to play in general. if you play like a bronze adc and are facing an adc main in gold, you are most likely going to have trouble with any matchup I believe.

other champs you can try: jungle: amumu

top: shen, zac, shyvana. tanks are fairly easy to play, all you have to do is farm top lane and then group with your team and tank the damage and try not to die.

mid: annie or morg. annie is very easy to farm cs with using her Q. morg isn't too hard to play in general. using her ult and landing snares are the hardest part of her.

adc: trist, Lucian, graves. they have escapes (jump/dash)

Thank you for that HH The Thinker. After a few more tanked games, hopefully going to Gold 2, going to take a small break to test out all those champs.

After my last few games, I still think I'm not up to snuff, but I don't feel like it matters that much; though I'm working to make less mistakes. I've played with people that still can't use Flash right, as in flashing back into the people they are running from or failing to flash over a wall, repeatedly. Besides that a lot of people don't seem to understand the importance of towers. Kills can wait, the people will come back alive, but a turret is gone forever and the closer it gets to the core the more important it is.

I've played with people that throw up on me for getting into a bad fight and won't give me a straight answer as to why they followed me in if they knew it was a bad idea. Though when I do good, when I set up a good fight, I hear nothing from them. It feels just like when I turned 18, thinking I'll wake up and everything will be different. Nope.

ya, just know that everyone makes mistakes and that's fine. I believe that you can get gold 2 and even higher.
