Noob Need Help, Looking for a friend to play with and learn from

Hi Guys,

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I've been playing League since early season 2, mainly a few games a week for fun. And then due to work, I stopped playing for more than a year. Up until recently I have time to play seriously and truly enjoyed a lot of the new things that have been implemented. However, after about a week of playing everyday, I found my skills really lacking and dunno how to improve. Even though I enjoy playing the game rather I win or lose, but I feel bad that a lot of times due to my bad play it caused my team to lose. I've tried to read a lot of tips and hints, but still find it hard to follow them in game. Below are the two main weaknesses that I believe I have:

  1. Laning/Trading, I love playing top lane but 80% of the time I lose lane because I'm bad at trading with the enemy. Because of that, I either die a lot or can't farm. I tried to be passive and just try to farm up, and trade back only when the enemy initiate on me, but I found myself to be on the short end of the stick every time. I tried being the aggressive one, but same result. I dunno where I can begin to really improve my laning and trading properly.

  2. Team fight, I know the basics such as going for the carries first and peel for my team's carries. However, I find myself sometimes can't focus during team fights because it happened so fast. I might try to aim for the enemy carry and die before reaching it or sometimes die before I can really hit anyone. I try my best to try to focus every time, but a lot of team fights just happen so fast that I find myself slow to react.

Sorry for making this long post, but I hope to find a few friends to duo with or a team to play with that can teach me. Sometimes I feel it's hard to learn when most of the games I lose badly from the start and always playing catchup. Most importantly, I don't want to be the person to always let my teammates down. Thank you for your time and please let me know if you want to add me.

Well, I'm not one for ranked, but... If you don't mind playing normals/aram/custom matches, I'd be happy to help you out.

I willing to help as well. Also a good way to learn to trade well is to do a private game 1v1 bettween friends on skype or curse to learn what their mind set is and how they like to fight to helps.

I'm in the same boat. Started in S2 as well, and have taken a few breaks. Just returning from my longest one and feeling as confused as ever. ELO didn't appear to decay and I'm being matched with plats 'n stuff in normals. Feel so bad for screwing up their games and looking like an idiot, that it's difficult to convince myself to just stick it out. Kudos to you for reaching out. I'm too shy. :x

I started in S2 as well. I don't play much ranked but I am willing to help too. I have a pretty good concept of Laning/Trading. I don't lose my lanes often because I find ways to even out gold if I can't beat them(I'd be happy to explain further). So anyone that wants help(I see someone below). You can go ahead and add me. Although you should know the times I can be on is little restrictive. Responsibilities and what not.

Whoops wrong account. Add MishF. My bad.
