The SECRET to carrying every game

It sounds crazy right?? You can carry your team every single game. This is where you always here.. Main a champion, work on mechanics, get more kills, get more farm, more gold wins the game. The list goes on and on and it all is about is the GAME.

This is where my opinion has changed so much just very recently. I`m on a team 4 other players that can always effect the game more than just I can. League is really about your TEAMMATES not yourself.

Think about the last time you told someone? nj, Great play, You just killed it that last fight, Wow that ward saved me Thanks.

Your top laner just went the first 5 minutes of the game and hasnt died yet. Well hes doing something right isnt he? Tell him good job top.

Your jungler ganked and got your lane opponents summoners down saying ty goes pretty darn far... I mean he left his jungle and tried to help you out.

As you can see this list of the things your teammates does right goes on and on and on.

When your teammate dies in lane.. have you tried asking him if you can help? Most people won`t ask for help, you typically need to offer it first.

Dont try to carry the game, try to have your teammates carry the game and always remember your way more likely to win the games you get 0 deaths in. Win the game by chatting the most and pinging your team informatively.

Sorry for the long paragraph so TLDR: POSITIVITY IS THE BEST WAY TO CARRY

I`ve gone B4 to B2 by doing these silly things in under 20 games so it totally works.

What is something youve always wanted a teammate to tell you? I can only come up with so many compliments and Im probably missing some too.

And most importantly: Blame your Jungler so you can get more ganks.

So basically Sky's "dick suck theory". Yeah, it works, when I can be bothered.

The real secret to carrying is figuring out how to consistently get fed as Poppy though ;)

Give your jungler a kill early. He's more likely to come back for more and therefor snowball your lane.

I do so ever enjoy this logic. It works 100% of the time, for every person. No questions asked!

. . . Unless you're a support main. Nice to see the rest of the community starting to catch up. XD

But what you're describing is not "carrying" but "playing to win as a team". I agree they're great tips for winning but carrying isn't simply defined as making a positive contribution. Carrying is defined as doing such a good job and becoming so strong during the game that the enemy team can't deal with you anymore. So for supports it's almost impossible to carry but they're just as likely as anyone to make the team contribution that makes the difference between winning and losing.

People focus too much on carrying and not enough on helping out teammates so they can carry once in a while as well.

I have something to add. You should NEVER try to make heroic plays alone while your team is behind. Even if you're better than your entire team combined, if you roam their jungle alone and try to make picks without proper vision you will only feed and put your team farther behind.

Another thing, don't take every kill. Share the gold so your whole team is strong!

I learned this years ago. Raging doesn't help anyone and just makes people play worse. I call people fucking idiots and wish death upon their mothers in my head, but encourage them in the game. tl;dr Just be cool. Don't get mad and good things will happen.

There is literally no significant difference between B4 and B2. I agree with the message, however the evidence that it helps you climb is completely unreliable. It's like saying I got from plat two to diamond five just by eating a slice of pizza before every game, which is silly. You can climb from B4 to B2 just by having better mechanics and that would be reflected in the match history.

you can be positive all you want but it doesn't help when the guys afk or feeding 15 kills.

I prefer playing a supp like sona and building item 3504 item 3050 item 3110 item 3190 . There's so much group hug in there that every time you'll go near an ally he'll go into rek mode. I've played games where my team was ready to surrender, then we went into a teamfight and suddenly my team at them alive with no casualties due to stat boosts and debuffing enemies. Here's the trick. When your top laner and adc go "hey enemy team, I'm a badass now and you can't take me" don't correct them and say you're why. Tell them that you have no idea how they just pulled that off but it was awesome and you're thrilled about there sudden power spike. Follow them around, soak up assists, and then you not only win the game, you also made the people on your team feel good about themselves. In my opinion that's just as important.

Very true words.

But it's sad when you are the only fed person (or competent person) on your team. 3 opponents are pushing mid and I tell my team to just play defensive and we can win. Instead the 4 of them push bot while I am holding off mid alone. What happens next?

An ally has been slain Enemy double kill! Enemy triple kill! Enemy quadra kill!!!

Meanwhile I defend mid, get a triple kill on them (they dove hard) but now thanks to my teams brilliant idea we lost bot turret and inhib and it doesn't matter how fed I am or how much I tell them its cool.

I am SO raging in my head that I can solo 3 people and get a triple but FOUR of them get quadra killed by 2 champs.

I encourage my team and tell them we can still win we just have to be smart. Just stay in base and clear out bot lane as it comes in and put some wards in our jungle. We catch them out once we can still win. I'll push mid since their inhib turret is down. Sounds good right?

All 4 push bot lane again. No wards. The same TWO enemies kill them again.

You can be nice and encouraging and supportive ALL you want. When your team DOESN'T CARE then there is nothing you can do but hope the opponents aren't that good.

And even if they are, in above example, I managed to kill 4 of em in a final full fledged team fight, but their support lived and finished me off and winions.

Most likely your transition from B4 to B2 had to do with the luck of getting decent teammates who were willing to listen to you. That's a great thing. But carrying has nothing to do with depending on your team. It's your responsibility, as a carry, to make sure you help your team and win the game. Especially in Bronze, there are a lot of brand new players entering ranked, some of whom don't even know how to farm yet. Dependence on your teammates in low elo is the number one way to loose league points. You cannot assume they will carry you just because you're encouraging them (which is a great thing, but not enough to ensure a win every time).

Bronze has a myriad of different players. Some will be willing to help the team and do what's best for it, others won't know how to, and others will intentionally feed because they're bored and don't feel like playing the whole match. You have to assume that your team will be potentially filled with trolls, inexperienced players, and uncooperative teammates. If you assume right from the very start that's the type of team you will have, then you can start strategizing for methods to carry, help them out, and win. For instance, you see a Bard support bot lane and he mentions it's his first time playing Bard. If you're jungle, you camp bot lane, get your teammates fed, get the turret, push mid, and win the game. You have to choose a carry position which has a presence in other lanes in the early game. So positions like mid, jungle, and top is what you're looking for.

Carrying isn't about relying on your teammates, it's about making the correct decisions in the game to get your teammates (and you) fed. These decisions will determine whether or not the game is won or lost. And even then, you still will not win every game. If all your teammates went 0/15/0, which I've seen before, you just have to accept that and move on. If you play smart, choose the right lanes/champions, and stay positive, you will definitely win more than you loose. This would allow you to rank up naturally and smoothly.

Ask the jungler how he wants you to set him up for a gank and DO IT! If you give the jungler his best chance in a gank, he's more likely to gank and gank successfully.

I also got placed in b4 after I completely failed my provisionals, but honestly in bronze the way to win is pretty simple. If you are laner, don't overestimate your skill over the other person, and if you are winning just abuse your lead over the other laner by denying cs then getting the tower. If you are losing then stay back and don't die anymore, losing tower is ok as long as you are alive and can cs. I main the jungle and what I do is get a bot lane leash, make an impact top, then camp bot and mid to get early dragons. Dragons aren't necessarily about the stats they give until it goes down to the fifth one. I can't count how many times sitting on 4 dragons has saved my team from completely throwing. If you can, help your laner get the tower after you killed the other person. What's also more important is that you aren't going to win every game, so instead of flaming your team, accept that it is just the game you won't win.

Bronze is easy, like I don't know. I got placed in Bronze II and immediately got out of it but it took me 105 games to get to Silver V so... Uh... This week, I got from Silver IV to Silver II. Besides duoing, positivity is also important. Just say "hey nice job" "EZ FIGHT BOYZ" encourages your team to do better and the game will be more fun too. Two games ago, I was raged at in champion select for not playing "all roles," which tilts me and of course we lost (we were all getting stomped anyways).
