Ranked Games aren't so bad!

In a ranked game, many things can happen. People rage, afk and leave ALL THE TIME. But by playing ranked, you basically signed up for that. You tell your self; "Riot hates me, I always get bad team mates, my team sucks" All of those may be true, yet that is exactly why you DON'T do good in ranked. Challenger players who are winning every match don't get there by whining, crying and bad manners. Ranked is not something that is meant to be stressful. If you're in Bronze - Gold, DON'T SWEAT IT. If you are there then you have been given a challenge. It is through completing these challenges that you will advance.

Some people really don't grasp that the "un-killable demon king" Faker, WAS RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE when he first started. How did he get so good? Through losing and losing and losing a champion was born. He played until he COULD NOT LOSE, he made plans and maps and documents, all dedicated to making him a better player. Did he rage, afk or bm after a loss? NO, it is through losing that we learn what to not do, and what to do differently. So I leave you with this.

Practice your heart out. Dont ever give up even when you are in the darkest pits of ELO HELL. You have heard this before, you have seen it in videos, yet I am telling you now, INTERNALISE IT. Do the best you can do and if you lose, at least you know you didnt throw the game. It is in us all, hidden in fear, humiliation and disturbance. You know what's there? A CHAMPION!!! Now go play ranked, play games, win games and DO YOUR BEST.

Never forget to go with the flow Nami Have fun summoners!

it's stressful because if you die once you're whole team is yelling at you to stop feeding.

So with that logic you are basically saying if I get into a car, and a dumb reject drunk driver plows into me, it's OK.... by getting into my car I signed up for it. No. It's Riot's job to clean the cesspool that is toxicity within League. Has nothing to do with skill, carrying, or having good luck team-mates. Riot needs to do something.

I wouldn't recommend playing ranked games now, specifically at the Silver-Gold level. All I am seeing are a bunch of smurf's at this point.

It is best to wait until season 4 begins so everyone actually plays at their appropriate elo again.

I can appreciate your enthusiasm in getting people to play ranked, but when you have people who rage and tell you to kill yourself, it kind of discourages people from playing any further. I left the FPS scene because I was tired of hearing pre-pubescent boys and teenagers yell the same exact stuff that I see on League gamechat.

You're right, ranked games aren't so bad. I find Ranked to be funner and a more educational experience than playing Normals. However, with the competitive drive also comes trash talking, which I can understand. What I don't understand is how toxic a LOT of people are in Ranked. From my experience in watching Worlds, the Challenger tier teams spent more time communicating with each other than fighting with each other, which is what I'm thinking got them there in the first place: team communication.

I gave your post a thumbs-up, OP. I do understand where you're coming from, and I do keep a positive outlook in most of the games I play. It takes a lot of determination and patience to get better in a game such as League. I do enjoy playing League, but there are times both in ranked and unranked where I feel discouraged because of the toxicity of my teammates or the enemy team.

Thanks man,I needed this.Last night,my team just got completely stomped by the enemy in a ranked game.I don't know what was happening in the chat though,I had everyone muted that second the game started.(I wanna play without everyone barking at me)

Was I performing badly myself?Yup,I basically got scared out of lane & couldn't farm.Everytime I tried,Janna d knock my Ashe up & Twtch would appear in my face to screw it.I didn't have time to react to use my summoner spells. My Nami was helpless to do anything. That's how they got 1st blood about 2 minutes & 30 seconds into the game. Due to the fear of Twitch popping up out of nowhere,I was too much of a bitch to try & farm (about 100+ cs difference by the end of the game),especially not with a roaming Zed on their team as well.I couldn't even finish any items besides my item 3006.

Don't worry,I wasn't the only one my team who lost their lane. All I can do now is learn from my mistakes & do better in the future (so that's a good thing). But thank god I had everyone muted though, that's the other good thing of that game >_>

I need to focus on practicing & getting better rather than winning.
