need tips for getting out of silver...

I'm going to start this by saying i dont play perfect every single game.. but i don't play at a bronze or silver level.. the very last game i was in at this posting i played malz mid vs a zed.. and stomped him pretty easily. my top lane fed hard and so did my jungle. my vayne bot did decently but ended up losing lane. i went 17-5-15 and still lost due to being a basic 3v5 the rest of the game. if i ever died even if the rest of my team lived we would lose at least 1 tower and drag/baron regardless of how many of them died in the fight. is their any point of even playing ranked throughout the season? or just wait and get lucky in promo's at the start of next season.. and hope i get into gold/plat or at least higher up then where i am now..

Any tips to get out would be greatly appreciated. feel free to look up my match history and do whatever you do.

I can see just by reading your post that it's your attitude towards your team that's holding you back, I don't even need to look at your matches. I'll take your word that you're a decent player (no sarcasm). But if you keep thinking about how your team messed up or how "It's basically a 3v5", you're not going to climb out.

If a laner is doing bad and you're ahead, it's okay to sacrifice your mid tower to go roam and help out your teammates. They're going to keep getting stomped if they're behind, no matter what the circumstances. Even if your team continues to make mistakes, figure out ways to capitalize on their mistakes to make it worth for you. Maybe someone dived your support and oneshotted them but is now currently out of position, go ahead and turn your sights on them if it's safe enough to.

You gotta remember the numbers advantages. Protect your team at all costs and don't try to be the carry or hero. It might net you a few games here and there but you'll win much more consistently when your team is a well oiled machine and synergized with the same goals in mind. Don't be afraid to be the shot-caller or let somebody else do it.

A team of 5 making a poor decision is better than a team of 3 making good decisions and 2 others not on the same page.

If you can be the person to bring your team together as a whole you'll see yourself out of Silver in no time and ready to collect those sweet rewards. And just remember, it's okay to make a mistake, it'll happen, a lot. Just try to figure out why you made that mistake and why it costed you what it cost you. (death, flash, .etc) It's okay to lose games, the matchmaking system is made to average out ~50% win/loss ratio, so don't be discouraged if you lose a match or a series 2 times. Ya might stomp through on the 3rd attempt.

#I really hope you'll see that I'm not flaming you and you'll accept constructive criticism. League is an attitude game first and skill second in Solo Queue. I'd love to see you in Gold before the season ends though! Good luck with your Matches!

the problem is u cant win 3v5 sometimes u can squeeze a 4v5 out but rare. also goodluck finding a well oiled machine in solo que... u always have the cocky guy who thinks hes like dia quality and then feeds and wont listen or the afker.. or the mute. now ive had good teams before that we just got outplayed. but for the most part theirs always 1-2 in every game that just ruin it by not knowing the mechanics of the champ and then get toxic and blame other players for their mistakes..

I try to stay on the positive side of the game so im always or at least trying to help out the other players by giving the advice, build order tips, ect. some take the advice others think they are elitists and then proceed to feed or build horribly. and on the losing series part... i went into 10 different series trying to leave silver 5 most were losses due to afkers and feeding teammates. obviously i didn't play perfect in everygame but i was pulling more then my share in 95% of the games played.

the malz game i talked about in my post i was actually demoted back into silver 5 after going 17-5 but having like a 1-12 morg and a bad lucian...

also i understand where you are coming from criticism is only things u can learn from.

Just keep trying man. It's possible, my first season was all over the place, Silver4>Bronze5>Silver5>Bronze5>Silver1.

It's gunna be rare if at all impossible to find a well oiled machine in Solo Queue, but try making one. :) Fill it with positivity. And if all else fails, see if you can't find a Duo partner that you synergize well with.

Playing in silver is actually worse than bronze. Bigger attitudes from the silver players who won't listen and and still matched with true bronze level players who invariably seem to get laned against the best silver on their team.

Silver is the same crapshoot as bronze, so play it the same way u did to get out of bronze. I'm in the same boat atm, clawed and scratched my way from b5 to s4 currently.

Try to tilt as little as possible and if you feel the game is a sure loss in champ select dodge because it probably is.

It's pretty much impossible to help horrible players,because they will just run out and do the same stupid crap that got them behind to begin with and then you will be behind too.

I Concur, it's better to lose 5lp if you know you're going to lose than to lose 15-25 and waste 45m.

when you get sightstone be sure to swap out trinket for sweeper

that game you won just as a note though when you have 40% cdr from other sources be sure to swap out ionian boots for something else like mobi boots because they become useless. frozen heart (20) + ardent (10) + talisman (10) = no more ionian boots

yeah i didnt think of that ill have to remember that later on. and i always forget about swapping out the trinket and upgrading at times but neither of those would really impact to crazy much. but mobi boots would deff help alot

On Bard starting mobis might be better as you need to run around collecting charms. I'd wait til 4 or 5 appear before collecting them and spamming alt+w to help speed you up back to lane. If you don't have sightstone by level 7 I'd just wait the extra 2 levels out and upgrade trinket so you have room for a different item such as Banner of Command to split push/gain more gold or Ohm Wrecker ( very under rated item). Just remember to keep your teams moral up as atleast 30% of this game is a mind game. 3 champions with 5 kills each is better than 1 champion with 20 kills. All it takes is them shutting you down and your team is helpless. Just keep it in mind. Also don't be farm greedy. I see this too many times and I admit to doing it myself, going and farming a huge wave because it looks like a massive amount of gold when it only equals out to about 600g and my team losses a team fight and dragon or turret because of it.

i don't main bard at all lol most bard games i play were when i was 5th pick and was filling for the team. but i always go ss first item for the most part vision is always a good thing. I try to do that but hard when usually you dont have the support in the rest of the team to fall back on.
