Ahri or Talon?

I am considering saving up for one of these two champions, but I'm not sure which one to get first. Which one is better in your opinion?

Some background about myself to aid in your answer: In season 4 I finished my promos in Bronze 1, having played almost exclusively Co-op v Ai before hand. After promos, I stopped playing ranked, and as of a month or so ago, I stopped playing Co-op v Ai and started playing Normals and ARAM, to some degree of success. I main support, and play Janna, Sona, Thresh, and Blitzcrank in that role. I don't have any other champions set in stone for the other roles, but some champs I enjoy playing are Rumble, Kennen, Orianna, Annie, Jinx, and the occasional Zed.

Ahri. Talon is pretty hard and is not super great right now.

Ahri if you want some peeling power (You can build rylais situationally, on top of using your charm) because you play lots of peeling champs.

Talon if you want a bit more variety. You don't have much AD

Talon has AOE burst and a lot of mobility. Ahri is more of a " Catch one person out and dish out sustained damage with your Q" Talon all the way baby

They are both great, you can't go wrong here.

People saying Talon is bad haven't played him enough to learn the champion. He's easy to get ahead with and great for carrying in soloqueue.

Ahri just has a ton of damage and utility, plus she's fun as hell to play with all the skillshots.

Talon is simpler mechanically but ahri is more forgiving when making the wrong decision. Talon is an instant gib assassin (whoever said talon can't instakill until late game hasn't played talon enough) and ahri is a poke mage... Tbh ahri isn't an assassin (imo) she's much better as a poke/catch mage or a secondary peeler Ahri is (again my opinion) the safest mid laner ever to exist Talon is very reliable because his full rotation combo is so fast Talon is risky the second you go in you better not regret it Ahri is very mobile when ult is up

I personally like talon more but that's just me c:

I personally also liked Talon better. I have more experience with him and I found him to be more enjoyable to play as due to some of his mechanics being harder to pull off than champs like Ahri or Zed. As noted before Talon has seen some recent nerfs that hurt his presence in game, most notably his silence is now absent on his cutthroat ability being replaced by a 99% slow that lasts all of 0.25 seconds. Ironic how the name wasn't changed to fit the revisions Riot made. Talon can split push a bit better than before and compared to Ahri is much better at taking towers being an AD assassin but is less safe compared to Ahri. Talon's passive makes him great for wombo combo based teams. He works great with a Leona, Nautilus, Zac or any other high Crowd Control teammates. Basically CC amplifies his damage output. He's more of a niche pick than anything right now. He can be strong but it takes more effort to be good with him.

Ahri is a safer champion choice. A lot of people like her. Her ult can be used to give her immense mobility in a fight, allow her to escape and can get her around certain obstacles. Ahri is a great pick against anything with a skill shot which is most everything nowadays. Ahri is a burst mage who thrives on picking off targets with her charm. Charm a target unload a bunch of damage onto it and back off. She's simpler to pick up, has range and is more versatile in her itemization. I don't play Ahri much so I'm just gonna leave off here saying she's the safer choice between her and Talon.
