Pro Rumble players or Rumble mains

I've decided that I'm going to try and master Rumble as one of my champions for season 5 ranked. I'm pretty suckish with him, but I am definitely learning him (I've finally stopped smashing R and learned how to land his ult which is pretty easy to use with Smartcast imo).

I've learned to build Liandry's as a first item if I'm going to be a main damage source, what start the game with depending on matchups (Cloth 5, Crystal 1, Shield 1), etc. I've also learned when I should build Abyssal Scepter (against comps with a lot of mobility like Fizz, Trist, etc.), and that stuff.

I'd like some help with matchups (preferably the popular picks atm and the guys that can beat him in lane). I've particularly had a hard time against a Yorick.

Any tips and tricks would be really helpful. Thanks in advanced!

I haven't played rumble in awhile admittedly. But there are a few things I can tell you

don't cookie cut builds

And everyone has a hard time against Yorick. EVERYONE.

What I mean by the former is that sometimes Liandry's isn't the best option. Getting chunked by an assassin? Build a seekers or even a full zhonyas. Ryze giving you trouble? Some early MR will save you. I learned that the hard way, and even if you already know that it's always good to be reminded.

onto Yorick.

He will beat you in lane because Yorick beats EVERYONE in lane, Rumble can be a lane bully but Yorick takes the cake, my best advice is something many people fail to do.

See those bushes? Abuse them.

Yorick's ghouls (As annoying as they are) have league's minion AI, if they lose vision, they'll back off. This is especially helpful when he blows his combo on you, instead of being forced back to your tower, you can hide in the bushes for a bit instead

i am pretty far from pro, but i have been playing rumble a bit, spellpen stuff is great on him, but i first finish haunting guise then i build rylais before i finish liandrays. this is because i dont think you REALLY need the health shred before you get the super slow from rylais, which is an awesome combo with rumble because of the aoe of flame spitter slows them now, and on top of that is applying the double healthshred of liandrays. other than that, zhonyas and abyssal are good choices, then maybe tank items? i dunno i am not the best good luck hope this at least makes sense
