Looking for a serious Critique

Last Season I was in silver. this season I'm in bronze and just having a hard time in general. I played Support > Mid last season. This season, I still normally Support > Mid >ADC. I figured I'd pick up adc, in attempts to carry myself out of bronze, but I kinda have been hitting a brick wall.

What I'm looking for is some honest advice on how to up my game, and what I'm doing wrong so I can fix it. You you can be brutal as long as its constructive. In other words don't "Lol you suck bronze-y just uninstall" I actually WANT to get better.

here is my match history: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-history/NA/33789268

One smaller thing, make sure you also learn and get comfortable with off-meta champs, they're rarely banned, and people don't always know what to do with them, because they're not common, just my 2 cents though, good luck!

All i can say is work on farming and last hitting. It can be really hard vs some matchups, but as long as you play safe and farm up they will run out of mana or make a misstep which can give you a lead.

side note: Recently played vs a riven as gragas (toplane) and she was pushing and harassing all of the early game. At one point I had 20 cs or so to her 50+cs. After I got my catalyst however I was able to trade with her and even outdamage and kill her. Just wait for those powerspikes and play safe and you'll find yourself winning a little bit more.

Not sure if I'm in the best position to be dispensing advice, but if you're trying to pick up adc, a couple things. Like the previous person that commented, farming is really, really important. Even if you can't manage to get a kill, being around 15-20 CS ahead of your opponent is like having a kill over them. If you need help with that, try going into a custom and just working on your cs. Might be helpful to just remove any extra AD so you get used to csing without additional help from items. Same as what the other person mentioned, watch for mistakes in your opponents. Try to hold onto some of your mana as well; your opponents can capitalize on that and you may end up dead faster than you think. Also, stay safe when it gets to teamfighting. You're not a mid laner, don't try to pull something crazy and go after someone in an attempt to kill them unless you're confident in your ability to pull it off. Stay back, even if it means all you can do is hit the tank. It's better than getting immediately destroyed due to your inescapable squishyness.

Since it looks like you're trying to pick up Kalista, work on communicating with your support. Her ult is extremely reliant on your support not panicking and just jumping back into the enemy team when you're trying to save them. I also suggest you read the two stickied posts (if you haven't read them before) seeing as one is about Kalista and the other just contains helpful information in general.

Now for support, it looks like sometimes you're forgetting to swap out your warding totem trinket for the sweeping one once you get your sightstone. It's pretty important that you do this so you can clear out wards if you want to be able to have someone pull off a good gank. Also, when you have swapped out your trinket, use it. I can't tell from your match history how many times you've used it, but it seems like you've been finding few, if any, of the enemy wards. And stemming from my own experiences, that usually happens when I forget to use it. ._. Just try to remind yourself that it's there. Also, I see you're just buying around 1 pink ward each game, and unless nobody's ever found your ward, I'm pretty sure you should consider getting more when it's destroyed. Even if your ward hasn't been discovered, it might be more advantageous to buy another and move it as the game progresses, even if it puts it at a higher risk of getting found and destroyed.

Also, your match history doesn't tell me your behavior within games, but that's a pretty important part of the game. Try to keep a level head and if someone's just giving you grief about everything, mute them. However, keep an ear open for any valid criticism in their statements, like if you need to be staying further back or something like that.

Feel free to call me out on any of my advice, like I said, I'm not sure if I'm the best person to be giving it. It's sometimes quite difficult for me to follow my own advice, even if I know I should, and I'm not particularly highly ranked either. If you're curious about my ranking, I ended last season in S4, haven't touched ranked this season yet.

Thanks you all for the suggestions. I can definitely understand the cs part and because i have played mid a lot i do tend to be a bit more aggressive with adc. I should curb this and play safer. Ill definitely practice some more csing.

More pink wards. Definitely need to REMEMBER to switch to the sweep trink after I get my sightstone.

I think another problem Im getting is misjudging my damage. Like the opponent is low and I think I can kill them with my Q or w/e ability and it comes just short leaving the enemy with a sliver of life left. Thus making a primal instinct to pursue and kill only to end up dying.

For support i would say get good with leona. I see you only have 1 game as leona recently and you did very well! You may not be using her cause your afraid of counterpicks or perhaps you are just more comfortable with other champs (i see alot of sona) here are some tips from a leona main.

  1. I see you did not finish your face of the mountain, always finish this item at some point and remember it has an active! Between the shields from face of the mountain and locket of the solari you can shield your apc or adc while simultaniously peeling like a god.

  2. The peels... sona has a single peel with her r, leona has 3 in her kit, 1 more in summoners if you run exhaust and then added protection from active effects from item actives.

  3. Leona has few counters and the ones that do exist dont counter her that hard imo. The hardest counter you will face in my experience is a good morgana because of her shield. With practice you can bait her shield and stun / root your intended victim all day.

  4. Tanky as hell. Dance under the tower as it tickles you gently while your team destroys the enemy teams hopes and dreams.

  5. If you really wanna add a new level of peel to lepna, build a frozen mallet.

I'm no better than you, but I ONLY play bot lane. ADC mainly, support secondarily.

  • Honestly, whenever I play AP supports like Nami Sona Janna , I build them tanky. So I recommend you to build them tanky, since you're not the main damage dealer. Items I would recommend: item 3222 item 3190 item 3110 item 3143 I build Tankmi, Tankna. NO EXCEPTIONS. They'd think "lol Nami so squishy xdddd" but actually I'm a bodyguard. Don't judge a book by its cover.
  • Whenever you're playing support, you should be ALWAYS warding (Keyword: always). 20 wards in 36 minutes is clearly not enough. I'd say at least 30-35. >40 would be better.
  • Kalista's first item should be either item 3031 /item 3085 /item 3153 . Never Bloodthirster. Never first item Bloodthirster on any ADC. NEVER. Like, item 3031 is way better first item than item 3072
  • You die TOO much. Every game, make your first goal is to "NOT DIE." If you don't die, you don't give enemy team 300 gold. That's good. DAS GUD. Unless you're a tank, then you should die for your team sometimes.
  • If you're building item 3302 on a support, finish this item to item 3401 ASAP.

Things to focus on:

  • CSing (it is unacceptable to have 130 CS in a 30 minutes game. At least 200.)
  • To not die (>5 deaths is not ideal, I'd say. If you look at my games yes I die more than five times especially as Sivir yet I win. Why? Because I take towers and I don't give a flying fuck about my KDA. Objectives > ALL. lol just kidding no excuse for my deaths)
  • If you play ADC, you don't go for kills. You're a tower killing machine. Just think like this: if I kill this tower, I have a better chance of winning this game. WHY NOT?

Hope this helps, even though I sound harsh.
