How Do I counter darius

If you're a melee champ you'll have the best luck getting good at a very dangerous dance. You want to be right at the edge of his Q range, far enough so you won't get hit but close enough that you can bait him into using it. This will push your lane into a favorable position where Darius is far easier to stop, either by him taking a few accidental tower shots and losing a ton of farm, or by you getting the ganks you need and also forcing him to lose a ton of farm.

The name of the game is don't die and deny farm. Do these two things and you'll do just fine.

Kite, kite, kite

I've used Vlad to great success. Vlad's Q has a longer range than Apprehend, and Vlad's pool pretty much avoids all of Darius' combo. Vlad also scales much better into the late game.

You just have to make sure that you don't die to his early all in and keep him at range.

I have played pantheon against him but i have never won, so tell me why panth is good?

Ban him.

Take a ranged champion, or someone with a relatively distant poking ability. Gnar or Shen do well, as they also have escapes, but Teemo is probably your safest bet (I hate saying it, but it is) because he outranges darius, and he pokes nicely. Whenever you see darius, more often than not he'll focus harrassing, so try to make sure you have a minion wave by your side, as darius can also take some heavy damage if planned out right. Watch the stacks on you as well. He's a nightmare to play against, but there are solutions. Yorick is another, alongside Pantheon, Quinn, Jayce.

There is another way to counter darius many people forget about: Renekton. Every pull Darius does can result in a won trade by you. Just allow the pull, stun darius, Q, and escape with E. your spells are similar to his pull cooldown, and you have some nice sustain. Idk why renekton is underplayed. Zed Aatrox and Kayle also do nicely, and Elise Cho Gath and Kennen can poke him well.

If you ever do see a darius in blind pick, just make sure to let him push. He's more likely to make mistakes then. Also keep your distance. Do not give him gold in a kill. He's beatable, as long as you play safe. He falls off as he levels.

Darius is difficult to fight in lane 1v1. He can be a bit overwhelming but he is manageable. First of all, stay away from him if you can. I know this sounds like pussy shit but you need to understand that Darius is one of the champs you CANNOT fuck with early game. If you have any ranged harass, don't be afraid to spam it. Bait him into using his Q because it pushes the wave hard and makes him vulnerable to ganks. Punish him for missing a Q, and especially punish him for missing an apprehend. Most of all, you have a jungler for a reason. Darius has absolutely no way to survive or escape a gank, so let him push and ping your jungler for help, he is hilariously easy to gank and isn't played in high elo because experienced junglers use Darius as a way to get their top laner fed.

as most melee champions you want to have a giant's belt as your first purchase against darius (most champions outscale darius so just farming and surviving is absolutely fine)

and respect the level 6, if he has ignite, that plus his ult equals 50% of most champions' health pool at level 6, so play with that in mind champions that can harass and disengage quickly can work great against him as well since he won't have time to stack his bleed passive in trades

panth does well vs him early game. darius does well in lane, but falls of afterwards so what you have to do mostly is just farm.

one way you can beat darius in lane is actually ask for ganks because he has no in built escapes. (warning: asking for a gank and it going wrong can be on you so be careful on asking in the first place and jungle doesn't need to gank, it can also depend on what they are playing).

I have only ever beat him as gnar or another darius. i really got nothing here lol
