New way to hard leash blue buff without your teammates

So the large golem gets creep blocked by his own sentries and remains out of attack range so he can't hit you? How does that work when the it randomly renews its attack though? Nothing moved, yet it was able to attack. I'll just have to try this out for myself I guess.
