When i did my promos i won 8 out of 10 of them and got placed in bronze V. I've heard about people who won 4 of them and got into silver. Why did this happen?

Was this in a different life? Or you're just posting this weeks after it happened?
Well seeing as you were Bronze last season there's that. If you were already at the bottom, then you're provs aren't going to improve your placements during the next season unless you win all of them, only then does it give you a better chance at something slightly higher.
It depends on your mmr from last season if you had really bad mmr it won't matter that much. Like in season 3 i use to be bronze so when i did season 4 promos i won 7 out of 10 and still got placed bronze IV. You just gotta climb out man all their is to it.
Well on NA I ended on Silver 3/4 and on EUW ended in S3.
Did my promos on both servers, went 6/4 on NA ended in bronze 3, and I went 7/3 on EUW and ended in S1. I think the first games matter the most, because looking back, the first games were lost on NA and won on EU.
