Question for ranked gameplay about picking.

Good day LoL players.

Before I begin I should point out that there's a lot of personal banter in the first 3 paragraphs, skip to the bottom if you just want TLDR meat and potatoes.

I have a question (questions) that I would seriously like to get some feedback on (and maybe even addressed), so here goes: I have been playing LoL since about first season (doesn't mean I'm fantastic at the game or anything, I play to have fun and enjoy myself). I was playing a ranked game today where I was 3rd pick (silver 4). I typed in "Mid and Top pref. I'll fill otherwise" as I usually do because those are my two strong roles and I'm not really good at anything else, I'm o.k. at best at the other 3 meta roles. First pick was middle, second pick was top. for team coordination reasons, I said "I'll go ADC, you support me (because he wanted anything BUT ADC) and you can jg (since our 5th wanted jg).

1st pick mid , 2nd pick top , 3rd pick ADC (me) , 4th pick support , 5th pick jg . (In order) Against: Mid , Top , ADC , sup, and (not in order).

Obviously, not that good at ADC, I don't do well and our support starts flaming me, calling me bad and stuff. so I start flaming him. Eventually I'm raging, raging in all chat, everyone's telling me I'm contradictory and terrible even though our top feeds and loses his lane, our support is FB even though I ping warned him not to stay at tower, our middle is oblivious, missing at least 3 fights at river and 2 dragon contests, and everyone reports me at the end of the game for basically "raging and making bad decisions". I can't express myself enough for being disappointed at how Toxic LoLs community is. Is it so wrong that in this day and age I can't even play a game for fun anymore, even if it is ranked? If games aren't meant to be fun that what the heck are they anymore? Alright, so I suppose my real question is:

"If I'm only good at Top and Middle, should I, A: even play ranked any more? B:always call my roles solidly and forget any other roles, and/or C:Force pick my way into a role no matter what pick I am (yes I know pick order > call order), or D: Learn (and be good at) a champ or multiple champs in the other roles." I'm here because I want to learn something, get some feedback, and be useful in game AND have FUN (a lost concept to LoL, and arguably, to any MOBA player).
