Help with Draven?

Hey guys! I really enjoy playing as my new champion, Draven. (I bought him last week) I think I have the catching axes part down, but I still seem to do average, only carrying only about 1 of 4 games. Do any players that have Draven as their main or one of their mains have any tips or tricks? Also, it seems like Draven top is actually quite good, I tried it! Thanks to the person that suggested me it!

Never stop moving when you auto. Being able to micro your q-empowered auto attacks means more potential gold and that you're going to be harder to hit with skill shots unless you're an easy read. Lane with someone who has some form of CC. If they just have a slow, it means you can keep moving towards the target while your Q lands just a bit in front of you. Hard CC means you're dancing around your target at the worst. I'm not saying hard CC is bad, I just like to keep moving forward. Granted this is all in bot lane, so I can't speak at all for top lane Draven.

As a Draven AD carry main, the four suggestions I have for you are:

  1. Try to keep two axes up from your Q on as much as possible during laning phase.
  2. Avoid overusing Blood Rush during early game unless you decide to get Essence Reaver first. This is because Essence Reaver mitigates mana loss from Blood Rush heavily making it a good choice for Draven to rush early.
  3. Don't try to catch an ax if your enemy is throwing skill-shots where it lands.
  4. Use your ultimate as an execution tool more than a softener during engages.

Supports Draven appreciates the most (in my opinion the top 5) include: Nami, Janna, Leona, Zilean, and Thresh.
