How to escape Bronze.

This season I have went from Bronze 1 to 5, back to Bronze 1, back to Bronze 5, and now I sit here. I have learned to play every role adequately in the game and learned to main ADC. I finished out Silver 3, I think, last season. I probably could have climbed higher, but time on the season just ran out. You can look at my match history and see that I do well in most of my games. Like my last loss, I was 21/8/14 as Corki, but as most of the time, my team finds ways to throw the game by getting caught with new wards, focusing the wrong targets, etc. No matter what I do, it seems that I can not carry myself out of this elo. In all my games it seems there are the people that have 30 cs at 25 minutes, an AFK, a troll, or the couple that chases an enemy across the map and wonders why they die. I am not really complaining about it, but I would like to know how you climbed out of Bronze and how I could do so. It might sound biased, but I do not feel like I belong in this elo if I am able to score what I score consistently.

Stop playing ranked. You think you have the fundamentals of the game down, but you don't. Go back to normals and try again next season. Don't be surprised if you get placed back in bronze.

Also you are running armor per level on a adc? Thats a no no. You will get out damage really early with those type of runes

And your adc masteries you shouldn't be running the armor pen you should run the ad since armor pen early game does nothing really unless you are a assassin

I had a similar problem where I felt as if i was stuck in bronze and wasn't able to climb out no matter how well i played. Eventually i just abandoned that account and started from level 0. After my promos for my new account i was placed into silver and then climbed to gold V where I am now. If your able to maintain good scores at higher elo you should be fine since people know how to play around fed members better. The main problem with lower rank player is that they don't understand objective control, map vision, and rotations. Being really good mechanically is less important then being in the right spot at the right time, as in getting dragons on spawn and taking turrets when the enemy isnt around.

For me I mained Jungle and Mid to climb along with being a strong top laner. BAsically I would try to jungle set enemy jungler behind via counter jungling cause ow elo players don't usually know how to collapse on invades and get what ever lane is winning super far ahead to attempt a 2 man carry or 3 if it's bot lane that's ahead. Basically pick the roles that roam and have a huge sway on map pressure. Udyr carried me from bronze 2 to gold along with nid and lee

going to tell a short story. I played my placements not caring, got bronze 3, dad blocked LOL for 6 months, could play again, got to silver 3 in a week, got to gold 5, I'm happy with that this season and I'm close to my skill level for the amount of time I play, which I rarely play because life keeps me busy.

point is, if you learn the game and what you need to do, you can win more and carry more and climb out.

some things to work on if you are lacking:

  1. cs: I've gotten 180 by 20 minutes (that's about my best playing in top lane, other people can get more). it makes a huge difference in the game if you get really good cs.

  2. gaining and pushing a lead: there are a lot of free kills in bronze, more than you would ever think. you are missing them without knowing it. if you could see them and get them, you would get fed fairly fast and easily and with good cs, the game would feel fairly easy. once you have a lead, do something with it. get towers, drag, and pressure.

  3. stalling the game when behind and making a comeback: if your team is behind, hold the game out one way or another until they can get back into it. this has won me quite a few games. I held the game out until my team had most of it's items and they could do more. I mainly did this when I was playing support. it also helped that I was playing karma support and was able to hurt a lot once full build at that point.

let me tell you something that will realy work play to get better (important, if you play just to play and to get fed you wont improve and no there is no elo hell, no teammate can keep you down) play to win (dont chase kills, chase towers ) think and outsmart (you have loads of tools at your hand, pick the best and use them to their max,for instance if you win the lane you can just buy wards, place them in enemy jungle, and push, in case of someone coming to stop you you might just solo them or hurt them before they see you )

there are loads of ways to get out of bronze.

High KDA just does not matter in Bronze. Most of the time it just does not. A team can be up forty kills and still throw.

If you really think that you can play at such a high carry level, put more gold into wards. Be a total dick and play as Xerath with Clairvoyance and an Orb. Be totally unfair.

At the end of the day you keep going all the way down to Bronze V because you're still bad. If you assume your team is bad and will feed, then you need even more awareness. There is some limit of performance that you must yet overcome.

I found that I have won more matches with a low KDA ratio than I have won with a high ratio in norms and low ELO accts. When the team is super bad you need to be sure THEY get kills so THEY can get gold and get leveled. If you take all the kills, the best you can do is stall the game with most champs because your team is underfed.

Personal challenge: Keep your team alive and fed, and plan to outplay most opponents even with hindered farm. :3
