20% CDR Level 1 Nasus?

VikingRaid··2 votes·5,291 views

Thinking of running flat CDR quints and glyphs for 15% on rune page and then 5% cdr from masteries. Doing so will allow easier stacking at the early levels. Depending on your lane opponent, you can rush item 3024 and item 3067 and end up with the 40% cdr at about 7 minutes into the game. You then can buy either item 3065 or item 3110. While having both of those with 20% cdr at level 1 gives you a total of 50% cdr (meaning 10% is wasted), Spirit visage seems like a very strong item for Nasus due to the +20% healing.

If it comes down to it, you can put a 2nd point in Q at level 3 instead of E if you are forced to farm under turret. You really don't need to use your E on your minions anyways, otherwise turret will kill them.

Thoughts?

The idea behind the cdr runes is that you can get item 3067 / item 3024 and then rush item 3078 to start doing dmg really quick.

I have a friend who swears by 20% CDR at level 1, but I'm not a fan. It's a balance of risk and reward, and while you can stack far faster you miss out on defensive runes that would assist you during a difficult matchup.

If you have a lot of runepages make one for 20% and one for 10% so you can choose depending on your situation, but if you don't I would suggest just going for 10%. The decision is yours of course, perhaps you're fine with the higher risk/reward layout.

Yea i agree with Red; i was going to say something similar. It seems like a bit unnecessary overkill. Risk =?= Reward type of thing. I find it relatively fair enough with 12 flat CDR and rushing a sheen makes stacking smooth sailing all on its own. It sounds like something fun to try out not to seriously consider

You would be surprised at the difference. If you can handle the match up and get q off frequently it is a huge difference. Q starts at 8 sec cd and goes to 4 by level 9. Looking at using q every time it is up (not going to happen but should be the goal) lets do some math.

7.2 at 10% vs 6.4 at 20% for max cd, 3.6 and 3.2 for min. We wil run max min for these and the real number will be in between.

Assuming you don't start till 140 and have both cdr items by 7 the difference at max cd is 44 vs 50. Assume it takes you at least till 10 to get the last 10% cdr if not in runes. And at 10 the diff is 76 vs 87, while if you don't back until 15 for the last 10% the difference is 130 vs 150 (min of 60 dmg more).

With min cd the difference at 7 is 89 vs 100 (89 is rounded up). Again assuming buys at 10 or 15 for the rest of the cdr, the difference at 10 is 153 vs 175, and at 15 it is 260 vs 300.

The real numbers will be between those examples based on time whe you level q, but you potentially lose between 33 and 66 damage at 10 minutes. Basically it is like the patch notes read q is nerfed that damage at max rank. 40-60 damage nerf on an ability would be a sizable nerf in the patch notes.

It makes a huge difference in stacks at 10 and stacks at 20. Consider going item 3050 Eventually instead bc you don't waste money on cdr over the cap, the ap isn't wasted on nasus' kit, and you can bring more to the team. If support isn't building it, then it is even stronger as a spike for team damage.

No. Both item 3110 and item 3065 are extreemly good items for Nasus to pick, not just because it delivers him cdr.

On top of that missing armor seals/quints from runepage for Nasus uh. No , you simply won't be able to handle difficoult matchups.

Biggest thing what ppl forget when they mindlessly rush cdr on Susan: A dead susan cannot stack his Q no matter what stats he has.
