Last hitting & Gear adaptation

I've recently started playing against other players, and am having trouble last hitting creeps early/mid game. Some games, I can do just fine and last hit at least 70-90% of them, and other games my CS is just pitiful. I main and find that his E puts in a lot of work mid/late game, however early game is where I lack the consistency. I understand that practice makes perfect, however, there are certain things that might prevent me from getting a good CS due to the amount of pressure the opposing laner puts on Malz, especially with his dependency on mana.

I can consistently CS early game with my secondary main, , because his Q is amazing. I actually do really well with him(for my level). I don't main him because his Ult doesn't do as much damage to non AP champions that I've faced.

Another issue I have is adapting my gear to the opposing team's builds. I've attempted to do so, and still get obliterated even when not in a team fight. Any tips you guys could give me is greatly appreciated. Thanks. :3

My best PVP score with is 6/1/10(16/0/6 in bots) and with it's 10/4/9(19/2/5 in bots).

When you're playing , it's really you that should be applying the pressure in your lane. Also, especially with early game, prep the wave before you use your E. Wittle down the creeps with auto-attacks/Q. Malzahar is a very strong laner with his ability to constantly push/harass and his huge kill potential at 6. The thing that's really under-rated that is if you do it well, you can force your opposing mid laner to oom pretty fast pushing the wave back.

As for itemization with Malz.. I'm not overly familiar with it. So I can't really help you there.

Veigar has amazing ult damage regardless of whether or not the target is AP. It has a very high AP ratio (1). So don't be afraid to toss it at an ADC or AD assassin.

How would you generally start off with Malzahar ? My game start is usually item 1056 , item 2003 x2, item 3340 . The ability I choose is his Q, at level 2 I go for his E, and anywhere after level 4 I swap the two up, usually maxing his E first.

I'll have to start using Veigar more to get used to him, however I mostly focus my nukes on AP champs over AD champs, however I do use his Q, W, and E to dish out as much damage as possible.

I've watched a ton of videos, and occasionally watch some of the ranked matches to check out some competition and how some of the champions work so I would be able to somewhat learn how to get around them. Granted watching only helps in some ways, playing the game is the only way to get used to everything. I'd actually like a coach, however I'm not quite sure how to go about getting one. Haha.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, what's LCS stand for?

Been experimenting with AD Malzahar in Bots and he's been doing wonderfully. Usually going 16/0/(insert some assists here). By level 10, if I haven't gone back to base, I can cash in and solo Drag. Never expected him to end up so well. Not sure how effective he is in PVP though.
