Is there a way to counter Riven with champions that I play, not what the counterpick tips say. I play more normals than rankeds too, so even if I have a champ to counter her, I simply don't play him at the time :|

People say that the sword mirrors its owner.

So, as much as the cooldowns are alright. The damage output (skills plus pasive) and absorbation (by her E) is insane! And the double CC, stun and knockup. I know that Rengar is not the best pick against her, but please, I defeated many times champions that counter Rengar, as Rengar.

Any tips against her overall?

Generally i have a pretty easy time as rengar vs riven. Level one you jump on her face and reset your auto-attack with your q as often as you can (2-3 times most games). Try to jump on her when she is relatively close to the brush. When u have full ferocity at level 2 you jump on her face, auto reset with empowered q, auto-attack, reset the attack with q, e, then kill her. Ignite early and flash if nescessary. It is very easy to get first blood this way. With the advantage you have you deal so much damage you can easily out trade her. Be carefull when she hits level 6 though.

Rengar is actually a pretty good pick into riven, it just happens that the lane snowballs incredibly hard both ways. Avoid fighting her straight on unless you have your empowered bola. With full ferocity if you land your bola you will destroy her, but if she dodges the empowered bola you are screwed.

Bait out her stun and her shield and it is very easy to trade with her. Often times lower tier players will use rivers shield dash thing to get in range to stun. Backing up keeps her further away from you (often times her stun will miss) and if she stuns you she will have to close that little bit of distance before she can hit you. At this point her shield will most likely have dropped and you can proceed to trade back.

This is easy for champions who have gap closers/escapes because you can move in range and then immediately dash/jump out causing riven to waste her abilities on what she thought would be an easy engage.

Try to bait her shield out, and generally go in on her after she uses her skills.

But to be honest... I don't think you can win this lane unless Riven makes some solid mistakes (using W to farm for example or just using skills for no reason). Other option I can see is just maxing E and poking with it, but again - her shield will make it difficult.

Nasus. Just pick him. Get the following: 22 Armor rune page, fill the rest with scaling mr and some other stuff you like. Start cloth 5, get into lane, try to bait her into qing your minions. Kill her whenever shes under 300 hp AND you got frozen heart. Dont ever be greedy for dat minion After the first lanekill rivens item 3070 's are stacked

abuse her cooldowns at early levels. probably the best way to learn that is to play some riven games, get a feel for when she's vulnurable.

Kennen counters Riven probably harder than just about anyone else in the game IMO 1 on 1 wise during the laning phase. You can constantly stun her out of her combos and harass her from range to keep her CS low etc. Against her...I tend to max W first over Q.

As to Rengar...honestly I dunno, sorry...I'm not exactly a knowledgeable individual on that champ and you didn't list other champs that you play.
