Champions similar to Maokai?

I've been playing League for a few months now and only now realized how much fun Maokai is. Played him while he was free, picked him up, and now I've come back to him a few times and really enjoy his play style. I was wondering if anyone had and recommendations for champions similar to him?

I play jungle whenever I can in a match and support if that fails, but I've been trying to get into top laning as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Edit: Before getting into Maokai I played a lot of and and enjoyed them as well

Depends what your playstyle is. There's the all-in engage style where you typically just W their carry and beat the hell out of them and leave your team to fend for themselves, or there's the peel style where you just jump on anything that tries to get near your carry and beat the hell out of them while your team takes advantage of it.

What part of Maokai do you like In particular? The engage? The long ads drawn out duel? The teamfight? The CC that doesn't let your opponent avoid a trade when you engage one? I have a few champions in mind, but I need to know which you're looking for to give you a better recommendation.

Try gnar imo, you can do full tank + trinity force or botrk > tank items, he has CC in all ins, ranged poke, and is tanky as crud -- at least, after lanephase is over.

Shen could also work for you.

His engage is unfortunately centered around his ultimate which is high cooldown unlike Maokai, but he has great poke with his E (like sapling toss) and his shield does a lot of reliable damage when it pops (like Maokai ult). His Q is a lot of fun to use and he gets absurdly tanky the more he CSes.
