Malphite Jungle

Hi, LoL community!:D Okay, so, I normally play different roles in ranked, but Im still only in bronze 3. This is my first account, and when I hit level 30, after the preliminaries, I was in bronze 1. Ive went down 2 ranks playing as akali >_< So, I changed who I was maining. Now Im maining Malphite jungle. It works pretty well, but I feel like theres something I can do better.

So! Heres what I do.

Build: I start with the Hunters Machete, 2 Health Potions, and a ward. On first back, I upgrade the machete to the blue one (+30 gold on large monster kill + can smite enemy champs), Ill grab more health potions Then I start building the Iceborn gauntlet. By the time its fully built, I have enough sustain to come in for ganks. Usually itll be done by lvl 4-6. Then I go for randuins to help out in jg, as well as giving me more sustain in lane (if Im helping a lane push, or if Im getting ready to init. etc)

End Build: Stalker's Blade - When I get this early game, it helps alot in building money for faster items. Iceborn Gauntlet - By the time I get this, I'll be able to go in lane for a little while, take a few hits, and run away. Its enough to keep enemies off cs at minimum. Randuins Omen - By the time I build this, Im tanky enough to walk through jinx's ult at 3/4 health. Boots of Mobility - Helps steal dragon, helps get you to campsites faster, helps escape/catch up to an enemy Warmogs - For all of your MR lacking needs lol

Strategy: I prefer to come in for ganks at lvl 6. If top lane or bot lane is feeding hard, Ill keep a close eye on it, and stay close by to either gank or help push, depending on the situation. Like I said, I prefer to gank at level 6 because I can ult into a target(s), which'll give the adc and sup the time to move in to help out. If they do end up getting away, I'll hit a few of the minions to lower their health so the adc can get the cs.

Play Style: Im okay at watching the map. Usually when Im roaming to another jg campsite, I free cam and take a look at the map. Im pretty good at keeping up on drag timers. I just feel like theres something I could be doing to make myself a better player, as well as play malphite a little better. I have no idea what it is though >_< help?

To be honest i would not play malphite in the jungle. His clear time time is not very good and his ganks are not very good. His only good ganks come at 6 and above where his cooldown is very long. Reksai also has a knockup at lvl 2. If you are trying to win and carry, i would suggest playing a jungler that can do a large amount of damage.

I get that. Im not trying to main him for the longest time or anything. I just want to know what I could be improving on. My thought process initially was "If I can take a slow, low damage character, and learn how to use him/her, I may notice things that I didn't notice before I started." Honestly, it is showing. I've made alot of progress since I started doing it. I know now when to back away from a situation, as well as re-initiate after initially initiating haha. I learned how to time my ganks. I've learned to observe the map, as well as enemy builds.... I've learned alot since I've been playing ranked (about a month now), but I feel like I should still be doing much better.

But, back to the conversation. Maybe it is time for me to leave malphite behind?
