Tips for winning smite fights?
I like to think I'm a pretty good jungler, but one giant hole in my jungle game is getting drags and barons smited away from me.
If anyone has any tips or tricks or thoughts on the subject I would love to hear it

de ward the drag/baron before you attempt to take it. Also ward around so then you know if the other team is coming and hopefully can force a 5v4 or something.

Have the better rig and ping. If your FPS crashes to 10 fps with more than three champs on a screen, and your ping is ~120 higher than the enemy, he's going to have an enormous advantage over you. Sometimes it's purely luck of the draw. I've lost some easy smites, and made some nigh impossible ones.
Having and keeping vision is obviously important.
Click on dragon/baron (or keep vision on the top if their head) to see their health bar.
Look at your smite icon so you know how much damage it does.
Keep in mind the champions that have smite. For example, Lee/Elise have executes with their Q. They're able to use their abilities just before or as they smite for additional damage. When playing as them, you use their abilities and smite right before it reaches the needed smite damage. When playing against, you kind of just have to use your best judgement and get lucky.
For other champions, it's really a 50-50. Just try to finish before the enemy gets there OR fight before starting it.
Combo a high dmg spell with smite to effectively increase how early you can smite. keep their jungler down early if possible to get a lvl advantage meaning you smite for more dmg.
