WTF is wrong with Silver 2??

I’ve gotten into silver 2 about 3 times now. I don’t what problem is, maybe I’m just extremely bad or this game has cursed for not getting past silver 2. In the last 10 games I’ve played in silver 2 I’ve either had teammates that had were DC/afk or just people flaming and then starting to troll. It’s ridiculous how many times this has occurred while I’ve been trying to climb in silver 2. When I get demoted back to silver 3 I get good teams and easily go on a 4-5 game winning streak. As soon as I get to silver 2 to everything just falls to shit.

Now I understand that this is all part of the climb and farming to get your rank higher but it’s quite unnecessary if you ask me. I lose like 20 LP because people go afk, flame, or feed 10 kills in lane and the game is completely out of my control. When I started playing ranked this season I had a great start. I was placed into silver 5 and easily worked my way up into Silver 3 going undefeated in a day because I got a decent team to work with and was able to carry easily. It really makes me question how this matchmaking system works because the way some people play just doesn’t seem like they belong in this elo.

Honestly I’m not saying that I’m a pro by any means, nor am I saying that belong in something like diamond however is sucks to know I won’t be able to climb to an appropriate status because of uncontrollable factors. I have bad games too, and I don’t always have a great record in every game, but I don’t feed like 10 kills in a lane. I have a lot of room for improvement in my game and I’m acknowledging the mistakes I make and what could have been done instead to prevent those losses.

I try to stay intact with my team as much as possible, even if there are people that rage and or being toxic. I try to ignore the abuse and try to make resolve with everyone because two wrongs don’t make a right and it will just make matters worse. The community is just filled with a large immature player base that will drag you down with them no matter what you do.

Silver 2 is DA real ELO HELL!

Think of it like this, if you require "good" or "decent" teams in order to "carry," are you really carrying? Or are you actually the one being carried?

My point being, there's plenty of people who can carry you out of Silver, regardless of the same feeders/trolls/afk that you claim are holding you back.

I was stuck in Silver for the longest time until I learned what it actually meant to carry a team. It's about being so ridiculously impactful that you end up winning what Silver players consider to be hopelessly lost games. If you can win a 4v5, or a game where all 4 of your teammates are feeding hard, just imagine how much easier will feel when you get an even game, or easy game. You can eliminate much of the luck factor by playing at a higher level.

If you think luck is the reason for your placement on the ladder, then you're exactly where you belong. You only win when your team is better.

It is luck. Just keep playing until you get lucky enough to have some good teammates in a row. Now, obviously you have to play consistently well in your games, but remember that 9 other players have much more of an impact than 1 player. I was silver 5 for the longest time. I went up to silver 1 and back down to silver 5. Everyone on the threads just trolled and "carry harder scrub", which is just a really bad argument. I went from silver 5 to my current gold 5 in about a month. Just takes a couple streaks of getting good teammates that allow themselves to be carried.

Yeah I'm in silver as well. I have a friend in diamond who said something interesting... Apparently he's been paid to help people climb divisions, anyways;

He said climbing out of silver is more about luck than anything.

In silver your teammates are more likely to feed a bunch of kills, which can make it almost impossible to carry no matter how skilled you are. But it can happen on either team so it's kind of up to chance whether it's your team or not.

Silver 1-2 is just one side stomping the other most of the time.

This. I have the same problem. All I ask for is Gold V by the end of the season. This post is how I feel right now. Silver 3 or low is ez, now I'm floating around Silver 1/2 and going down. I heard Silver 1 and 2 are quite the grind... I'm just gonna keep playing. (And keep an eye on this post for tips! :P )

Silver 2/3 players seem so bad, and ofc toxic. The toxicity of Silver 2s, 1s, and Gold Vs are to the extreme. Sure their mechanics and gameplay suck, but their attitude is that of a 12 year olds. So, once you get into Silver 2, you will be placed with Gold Vs most likely and you will encounter even more toxicity and noobs with 1500 wins at 0 LP. Oh did i mention Gold V 0 LP 3000 games players are super common? I'd rather duo queue with a bronze V with 0 LP and 2000 wins. Im thinking of buying a boost just like most Gold V's and Plat V's have, then i'll call myself good too and put my teammates down every game.

I should know, i have two accounts in silver 2 and i honestly think i had better teams when i climbed out of bronze earlier in the season, and i had better teams in silver v even when i was stuck at 0 lp

Silver is an absolute joke. I go ~20-2-X most games because of how bad people are. If you can't get out, it's because you don't deserve to.

Let us SIlver 2/3 experts unite and purchase elo boosts like the majority of Plat and Gold Vs! That way we can brag like them and disrespect teammates every game and not give a flying kite because "Im Plat/Gold, ur silver u suk, look at ur cs/kda, its better than mine, but u suk, ur noob cuz i say so and i am adc main bitch, 1v1 me, youll never get out of SIlver HAHA NOOB"

Yeah i'll never get out of silver cuz of dem scrubs. Confirmed, boosting 3 accounts to lvl 30 and having all 3 stuck at silver 2 after 50+ games, elo hell exists, even with perfect games with high KDA Ratios, CSing, Warding, etc.

When playing in Solo Q it is not uncommon to have 10 wins in a raw or 10 losses in a raw . Matchmaking is a big factor that determines many outcomes .

Top lane in my opinion is the hardest position to influence a game so I wouldn't pick it to climb the ladder. Where good Mid or Jungler can make a bigger impact .

Keep in mind that even best players only have 60% win rate.

The best advice I can give you is to focus on 2 roles and only play them .

I knew this post would attract those cocky players that would just say "carry harder". If that's the case they must be playing at an amazing god like level to be able to carry games where there are players bitching, going afk and giving 10-15 kills in lane and still win.
