Hey guys,
Not sure their is a post already made on this topic, I searched but did not see anything that helped me. Is there a way to "Smartcast" for support meaning for instance like Black shield on morg can I smartcast so it automatically goes on my adc when I hit Shift E or a combination other then normal? I'm not sure if this is possible but would help me immensely if so can you please help or link me to a thread that may help.
Well... There are keybinds for targeting teammates (can't remember the defaults, but they can be changed to whatever you need it to be), which makes me want to say it's technically feasible to some degree, but I'd like to test it in a game before giving any false information.
I'll update this once I learn more.
Edit: Scratch that, those keybinds are for centering the camera on teammates, not targeting them. However, you can use the party bar (the ui on the left side with your team's icons, health, and mana) by hovering your cursor over a certain teammate's icon and using a skill. Just be sure you're in range to do so. :P
So.. Not exactly an auto-target mechanism, but it's easier (and a bit more reliable) than trying to shield your ADC in teamfight only for it to end up on a minion instead (I tend to have that issue on occasion with Karma's shields...).
What you are referring to used to be called "Smart Casting" and is now called "Quick Casting". Essentially it allows you to cast spells by pressing a single key with your mouse hovering over your target, rather than pressing the key and then clicking on your target. It is a very powerful feature, as it allows you to cast your spells much faster and more accurately. You can turn it on for some or all abilities, items, and summoners in the hotkeys menu in-game.
Is smartcasting not fast enough for you? I have no problem using black shield on people... I think the trick is you have to anticipate the enemies skills
in laneing phase paying attention to the enemys bot lane cc you have to inticipate it like when a blitz goes for a pull allmost everyone of them will press w first you just have to be aware of it. in team fights you have to allways be ready to sheild the person that needs saveing / your carry
