Should I continue ranking..?

Hey guys,

So lately I've been super busy. I made it to gold about a month ago and now I am wondering whether I should battle it out to get into a higher division or possibly plat (I might be able to). My only concern is whether I should risk affecting my MMR? Right now I want to say that it's good, I get about 25 LP for every win or so. I don't know if MMR is still transferred to next season, and I'm not sure if MMR is more important than what division I end up.

So any tips would be gladly appreciated!

honestly, it doesn't matter. Just don't drop out of gold but the chances of going plat are slim. WIth half the community plagued by random DC's (i see at least two every game) and the inevitable bad luck of solo Q (and Division V MMR) you don't want to be playing with that.

I stopped grinding ranked a while ago, I'm only in silver but I don't really play Morgana (and I think her Sinful Succulence and Ghostbride skins are better anyways), so not too motivated to rank up. Partially since the game looks like it's going to be insanely different next season if the experimental changes go through, I feel like I'm sort of done playing LoL seriously for the rest of the season, mostly just grinding bots for the daily IP boost and practicing fundamentals to get a running start next season. I play ranked once in a while when I want a challenging game, but that's about it.

Silver and Gold no longer Decay...basically meaning you can't drop a division from just not playing so I'm just sitting in gold and I don't care to rank up anymore.
