Real bad tilt; please help.

I have lost the last four matches that I have played. These matches were spread out over the last two days, so taking a break has not helped at all. I need some assistance. What do you do when on tilt that fixes it?

I think some of your problem may be the fact that you are playing normals. People goof off in normals and try weird stuff they dont end the game when ahead sometimes cause they want more kills etc and yhis gives the enemy team a chamce to come back, but since it isnt ranked not many people seem to care. Play ranked and that changes people are TRYING to win, Elo and Epeen are at stake. I also learned more climbing from bronze to gold than normals EVER taught me. Just have to listen to your teams criticism. Most of that will sound harsh and inflamitory. But If you can disect what they said to find the core meaning of the message they are trying to convey then you may learn something to apply to future matches.

Qualifications: I'm Diamond 5 this season and last season.

I don't go on tilt very often but when I do, I choose Dos Equis.

Just kidding, I actually try and find satisfaction in that I played well. I also criticize myself harder rather than my teammates. Even what little viewers I have left (I used to stream a lot) admit that some games just aren't my fault. But I always find fault within myself.

BUT - If you look on my match history for solo Q ranked, I'm like 2-8. Some of my lost games I do really well. Example: 8-4 score with Ziggs. I still gave up 2 shutdowns which is BAD. I had a 5-3 Jinx game. What if I didn't get caught those 3 times?

Each shutdown you give can be up to +800g to your enemy team. So I can't really justify my 8-4 Ziggs score because those 4 deaths can add up to 3k to my enemy team.

Relaxing music can help, also playing a more safe laner and just relaxing can help. I've lost plenty of games and it definetly is frustrating, if you find yourself losing a game, try and find something to learn how to do, ie last hitting under tower, learning to ward your area to watch for dives. Try and come away from a losing game learning something you can apply to the next game.

In your case, like Teemo mentioned below, try out some of the other game modes. Back capping Janna is hilarious in dominion assuming your que ever pops.

She's like the Jinx of dominion, cause chaos by distracting as much as possible.

Download a replay program (I recommend SkinSpotlights Replay.) After each game you play watch your replay as if your friend sent you it and they asked for your help to improve their play. Don't focus on the bad things your team does, focus on yourself. Take notes on the good and bad things you do and at the end of the game decide upon one thing that you want to improve on next game. Goals include, but are not limited to:

  1. Place 5 more wards than my last game.

  2. Buy at least 2 pinks in the game.

  3. Land 10% more skill shots.

  4. Increase my CS by 5 at the 10 minute mark and 10 at the 20 minute mark.

Then once you are done with the next game watch the replay and see if you met your goal. This transfers the goal from "winning" to doing something else that improves your play that is independent of winning. You will find the more goals you achieve and the harder you make your goals the more you will wind up winning.

FINALLY got a win in an ARAM match as Fizz. That's somewhat promising.

I'm done with solo queue... ever since school got out solo queue has been very difficult to tolerate. I typically would play one match before bed and do ranked grinds on Sundays, now I despise ranked play. I will get back into it if my duo is available, but outside of that it's not worth the MMR loss.

Just cannot seem to get good teammates that aren't yolo heroes / trolls / afk / ragers...

Let me put this in perspective. You consider four matches in a row, tilt?

In general if you are in a division you belong in (skill-wise) then you have a 50% chance of winning, correct? so to lose 4 games in a row: 1/2 X 1/2 X 1/2 X 1/2 = 6.25% chance of occurring.

This means that let's say 1,000,000 people play League everyday (probably this number is higher) then 1,000,000*6.25% = 62,500 people on average lose 4 games in a row EVERY DAY.

Last week I lost 9 in a row, dropped a division, then WON 7 in a row and got out of that division and into series for the NEXT division. If you lose 20 in a row you might want to wonder about things. Otherwise just play for fun and you will start winning.
