Help me figure out how to defeat full assassin teams.

Currently gold is flooded with full assassin teams. No matter who you ban there is always a katarina, trist, zed, yasuo, fizz, akali, or talon. Chances are, your lane or not, one or more of them are going to get fed. This is extremely hard for me to figure out how to beat. If I build tanky they all get quick penetration. If I play a really tanky champion then they just run circles around me. Farming till late NEVER works for me. Which seems like the most reasonable solution.

For example I had a game today with shaco jungle and Katerina mid. Obviously they got kat a quick first blood and the game was already over. At one point katarina even laughed at me when I got a spirit visage and said "I hate to go void early...."

And it wasn't even my lane. I was fighting yasuo top. I couldn't build both mr and Armor and they proceeded to suffocate our team. No matter how much cc we had or how tanky we were, if any lane gives a kill then they proceed to face roll. I've tried cc and tank. What happens is I don't have the damage to pierce their life steal as they run around and 2 shot our carries. I stun one or two but they still go Ham and steamroll. I played a lulu game once and I could not keep an akali and zed off my adc even with every heavy cc and shield I gave my adc.

What do you guys recommend or advise that I do to beat teams like this?

I'm found that forcing teamfights and sieges tends to work well against assassins. They excel at picking off isolated targets and usually have to dive into your team to do damage, where you can burst them down.

I would recommend picking tanky champions with CC and durability. Champions I've found work well are: Lissandra Chogath Maokai Swain Irelia Lulu Zac Alistar

Also, picking champions who can deny kills or quickly peel for allies can work to deny picks. Some of these champions are: Kayle Blitzcrank Lulu Zyra Soraka Sona Janna Nami Orianna Fiddlesticks

I wish all of these worked easily. Problem is I am usually top or adc when things like this happen. I basically armor up then have no control when mid feeds. And get destroyed by ap. or I pre build ap to tank the fed person and the ad assassins destroy me. Garen and Liss are both great pics. What are some others? My gnar and ryze top that I own with get devastated by Talons and Zeds and fiZz and Ect.

Well then. It sounds like your problem isn't assassins, but team mates feeding. To that all I can suggest is to get team mates that don't feed. Have you looked into duo que?

You could try playing an assassin yourself, getting fed, and carrying.

Bruisers, tanky mages, Graves. Champs that get tanky and are safe in lane are your best bet, play for late game and avoid feeding.

lock in vayne and buy sweeper trinket upgrade the trinket if there is an akali or talon, otherwise just buy a standard ward or scrying orb whenever you even see can assassin come near you just bork while ulting and q away because they jsut blew their gap closer and you can feel free to stutter step

Any champion who either has instant or hard to avoid CC or punishes people really hard in close range is great against assassins. The above examples all work, but based on the assassins in the game you can choose specific counters. Lulu is one of my favorite supports or tops against assassin teams, while I really enjoy playing Lissandra against something like a Fizz who can't really trade with or all-in her. Kayle specifically counters all-in combos that have some warning or delay, like Zed, while lane Jarvan can usually come out on top against most physical assassins.

shyvana counters teams like this pretty hard. else, stick together as a team so they can't pick you off

Get item 3026 and assassins with resets like kat and khazix are countered. If they don't get the first insta kill they are sitting ducks and cannot escape the CC brigade raining upon them. The most important thing is to WARD WARD WARD. Assassins usually get their kills by roaming bot. If you see them coming you can either avoid the double kill and waste their time or set up a counter-gank with your jungler. DO not let assassins freely roam without vision. If your mid is facing a kat or fizz and pings "missing" then BACK UP and WARD.

there is not a single champion in this game that I cant outlane as gnar.

a common misconception with gnar is that he needs to build damage when in reality rushing spirit visage + sunfire yields has proven time and time again to be the far superior build with him.

If you see assassins simply pick gnar, build 2 defensive items + boots, then if you are ahead get BOTRK, then build more defense, if you are behind just keep stacking defenses.

Tiny gnar does tons of damage because of his W's passive which you can stack with his auto attacks, Q and E making it easy to burn down anyone, if they are assassins they most likely will back off after 1-2 boomerangs.

Mega gnar does ridiculous damage without even building damage items just because his kit has built in damage much like zileans Q. The base damage on all of his abilitys are high enough that you can even burn tanks down with his combos with very little damaging items.

Gnar counters everything, including yorick
