I thought things would get a little bit better since making it out of bronze, however, it has been worse. Three ranked games in a row i have lost due to afk players. There was even a duo and their duo partner afk'd. I don't know how to make it out of this elo i try to support and get my team fed and we end up losing because no one listens and focuses on objectives. Like a bunch of kids they respond like " You're not my dad!" If i try to carry it will sometimes be futile because someone else feeds or again no objectives. And its not all their fault too, sometimes i dont do so hot or i could have done more for my team. Is this all just unfortunate or is there really something i can do to climb the elo ladder again?

Congrats you come to realize every elo sucks! Everyone thinks bronze is some special hell and everywhere else is the promise land but no. The promise land is high challenger which 99% of you will never make. I suggest trying to enjoy the game and get better instead of blaming people and thinking unicorns exist. Everywhere sucks dont expect anything and play for the sake of getting better, what all players should do. I got to diamond by doing it after being suck. Btw its ladder.

The real issue is the weak stance on shenanigans in game imo. I have seen some absolute mental failures in plat and diamond. Less afks, but it still happens. I will never forget my game with a diamond Kassadin last year before his nerfs, sitting in mid, the jungle ganks for him after Kassadin was pinging and he just watches jungler die to the enemy mid without assisting. He then proceeds to trash the jungle all game and refuses to actually attack enemy champions.

I believe that was my first game with a diamond player. So memorable. Oo

I do feel like a lot of problems would be solved by them taking a harder stance on AFKs/Leavers. Lagging I can understand occasionally, but I still place the blame on the player 90% of the time. Played 4 or 5 normals yesterday and had a leaver in 3 of them.

Improve your mechanical play = automatically carry games. Lots of youtube videos of people outplaying 1v2, 1v3 and 1v4.

Example: Be that Yasuo/Katarina that goes 2-0 in lane phase and then impacts every other lane.

Don't do this: Go 2-0 lane phase and stay in your lane.

When I smurf at silver and gold I see too many people getitng fed and not applying that strength to their team. If you're behind, don't feed anymore. much better to be 0-3 with 50 cs than 0-10 with 100 cs (because you keep trying to farm and overextend)

I get reported for harassment even though all I'm doing is trying to have others in the teamfight or have them not make more mistakes, that gets interpreted as harassment...
