A Marksmen Tip!

Buy a item 3006 if you come back with only 1000 gold. You may be wondering why I suggest this item instead of item 1037, well basically, a item 3006 is better than item 1037 because it gives you +45 Movement speed REALLY early into the game which benefits an INCREDIBLE!! amount early game. It also gives you +25% Attack Speed which is the most valuable early game and late game because if you accidentally miss a minion and it has 5 Health, you wouldn't normally get it with a item 1037 because it doesn't reset your basic attack faster. With a item 3006, it'll decrease the time it takes your basic attacks to hit the minion, meaning you won't miss that minion. If you're trading against other ADC's, yes, they'll deal slighter damage, but you'll get in more attacks, a champion like Caitlyn would greatly benefit from this item including the movement speed against pesky blitzcrank or thresh.

This is why Berk is viable as a first buy and is better than your average Pickaxe + dblade. item 1055 costs 440g and has an item efficiency of 137%.

the stats you get off of it are as follows 70 health = 187g 7 attack damage = 252g 3% lifesteal = 165g Total Gold Value = 604g

You pair this up with a 875g pickaxe whose stats go as like this 25 attack damage = 900g you get 102% item efficiency. splashing those two items together you get 119% item efficiency using your gold.

versus buying these puppies item 3006 who has an item efficiency of 133% the base cost is 1000g but the statistical efficiency is as follows 25% attack speed = 750g 45 movement speed = 585g Total Gold Value = 1335g

Berserkers > pickaxe+dblade.

... What doesn't work? Harassing and repositioning? I really hope I'm not coming across as rude here, but it does. Thresh should never be close enough to flay you before his hook. If he comes up, you kite him and harass from a safe spot. Any kind of ranged support will be doing the same. He will take damage and he will back off, and you will have won the trade. Even if their adc comes in, just do the same. Kite, reposition, harass. They will eat damage, and minion damage from wading through the wave.

Your support should never body block a grab for you. I NEVER body block a grab for an adc. If they can move into position to take it, you can definitely move out of the way.

What a silly argument, it depends on the adc, the play style, the lane type and the lineup.

I would NEVER buy item 3006 as the 1st item, it's rubbish on most Marksmen, and will prevent you from reaching a breakpoint much much sooner than anticipated.

Forget it, the talk about this item has gone too far. Berserker's Greave was just a suggested Item if you come back with Gold < 1550. No need to say anymore.

I guess I can't explain it but it's sad lol. Berserk Boots are better though. Typical Pickaxe is terrible for the ADC's with 0 mobility.

Is this one of those things where Berserk are better in lower leagues where your play isn't as efficient but Pickaxe+DB is better the more efficient you are?

Uh. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought if you backed before BF it was best to buy a second doran's and boots?

I'm pretty sure attack speed doesn't decrease the amount of time it takes to hit a minion. I'm pretty sure it just lets you aa again sooner.

TBH you don't need all that movement speed so early. I typically don't buy tier two boots until at least after bf, if not after my whole IE. There's really not a lot of chasing space in lane.

Boots + Second doran's when you don't have enough for bf lets you pick up that little bit of movement speed (Beneficial mostly for DODGING the skillshots from that Thresh and Blitz, not really chasing them...) plus a wee bit of raw damage and health + lifesteal for sustain.

Though in all honesty, if I can afford zerks I don't buy anything, I just run back to lane and farm because the bf is so close and it's essential on so many adc's. Or, again, get the boots and the doran's (it's cheaper) and keep saving for bf. That extra damage early is a lot. The attack speed really isn't unless you're playing an adc that really benefits from it.

You should always try to stay in lane till you have at least 1550 for a item 1038 . If you have to go back then it's actually better to go for a item 1053 over grabbing item 3006 then if you have anything left over you can pick up whatever else you can. If you do this, you are still getting damage plus the sustain will help you last longer if the other ADC is ahead.

If Thresh comes in to flay you, you harass him. Hard. Throw a spell at him (Cait or Graves q? At point blank range, they'll take more than enough damage to convince them to back off) or just autoattack with your extra damage from that pickaxe you bought. If he is in flay range and he didn't hook you, he made a HUGE mistake and you need to punish him.

No offense, honey, but I think your positioning may just not be that great and you should work on it. Try playing a harass support, that's how I got good at positioning and dodging. You don't have to worry about farm, so you can just worry about where you're standing.

Also, make sure you're warding the brush. Before your first back, when your support only has a trinket and maybe a green to ward for you, they're probably gonna want to save them for the river in case of ganks. Be aware of where their support is, especially all-in and heavy harass champs like Blitz and Thresh. If they're in a bush, drop your trinket in it. It'll scare them out of it, because they'll know you can see them anyway. Don't be in a position to get grabbed, and don't let them be in a position to grab and all-in you.
